Memory fade happens very, very quickly.

I saw the most horrific beating once, the guy was seriously hurt in the street.

I couldn't pick the guy out of a line up a few months later, neither could anyone else.

Anyway, you've been given ideas, why won't you look into them? Why do you want people to research for you? Is it because you don't want your hopes dashed that something phenomenal happened?

No one can give you answers given the fact they were not there, they only have your account, no one knows the circumstances, only how you portray them. Not to mention, people have a habit on the internet of lying (shock horror) to try and win a point.

People have given you ideas already, you can't be bothered to research.

as ive said the truth is much more fun

Ok I will give and exact account of how it happened then its really like you where there.

Ok, I was in a room, in a house, no wires of hidden cameras etc etc. No money involved.

I was quite amused at the prospect and very scepticle. As I had this view one of the people in the house said to me did I know anyone who had died, family etc. So I said my father doed the most recent. Ok, they said put your fingers on the glass, which I did but very very lightly as myself I wanted to catch the joker out.

After a few questions from the person who organised the board which was basically asking if my father was in the room, when the glass moved to yes again I had a grin on my face as I knew this was a set up of some sort.

So I was told to ask my father a question, a question no one in the room knew. Something personal that was not obvious. So I thought of the day my dad died in hospital and I remember the moment clearly and on the hospital radio in the background was the song father and son by Boyzone.

I thought this would be a perfect question to ask as there are loads of songs and this was not a obvious question too.

So I had my finger on the glass and asked the question. In a kind of funny way I said, and it was a bit embarrassing talking to someone who wasnt there, but anyway I asked

'Dad, the day you died in hospital there was a song on the radio when you died, what was that song?'

The glass moved to 'f' and at that moment my finger came off and I stood and watched as it spelled out father and son.

It was just as simple as that.

    Any ideas?

If you read the links that explain the ideomotor phenomenon as people have posted you'd have understood the reason the glass moved to the correct answer is because you know the correct answer and you moved the glass!

"The movements of the ouija board cup are really caused by a phenomenon known as the ideomotor effect, wherein the subject makes motions unconsciously. These small, unconscious motions can cause movement that seems to come from a supernatural source — this is also true for other mystical practices, such as dowsing. The ideomotor effect is not magic in the traditional understanding, says the BBC; rather it's "the ordinary everyday magic of consciousness," which, as everyone knows, is the most boring and worst magic of all. There is no Higginbottoms School of the Ordinary Everyday Magic of Consciousness for a reason."

    You simply do not know.

There are only 2 sureties in life, we are born and we die. The rest is all if's buts and and's

I think with everything else, we can use reasonable deductions based on the evidence.

I.e based on the evidence, i'm sure i'm sitting at a desktop PC replying to forum posts just now. Would you agree, or would you say i shouldn't be certain that's what i'm doing because of the "ifs and buts"

I'd imagine you would be best to answer that since you were there.

If your hand was touching it, then i'd suggest you moved it used your hand or arm.

After the glass moved my finger slipped off as I have said before I wanted to catch the joker out. After 1 letter my finger was not on the glass as I was looking at my wife in disbelief

As mentioned, i wasn't there. I have no way of validating your story vs someone telling a fictional story.

The honest answer is "i don't know" due to lack of information

But the best way to find out the answer to most mysteries is by investigating and finding out

Again I appreciate what you are saying and go along with you. But again you choose not to answer the question.

Yes, I have, and so have several others. In a nutshell, it is all a trick, a mind game. I am not familiar with the nuts and bolts, or I would be a rival to Derren Brown and performing on stage.

The only certainty is that there was no supernatural force involved, and nobody spoke to anyone's dead relative. If you can't accept that, there is no point in further discussion.

I think it's pretty open and shut. In scientific conditions, the glass has never moved on it's own.
When glass appears to move on it's own and is investigated, it's discovered it never moved on it's own.

I'm as sure that ghosts aren't behind it, as i'm sure that everytime i lose my car keys, that a wormhole didn't appear in my pocket and transport them somewhere else.
Can't be 100% sure of that either though.
