Also child-free by choice and well past child-bearing age.
When I was about 15 I told my Mum that I didn't want children - not quite the typical idea of the era (late 60s) - and I've never wavered.
I was lucky that I found 2 chaps (married twice) who were of the same mind as me.
Never regretted that choice.
Lots of people say I'm good with kids too, I think it might be that I seem to have more patience because I'm not with kids for a lot of the time like Mums are.0 -
I remember my cousin (29 years old) had a lovely boyfriend and they were on the brink of getting a place together when they had "the talk" about children. Cousin was very honest about the fact that children just did not factor into her plans at any point, whereas her boyfriend very much wanted a family. So they parted ways. It was perfectly amicable and mature.
She got so much stick from friends and family for "throwing away" a nice guy when apparently she will "probably change her mind". Patronising.First home purchased 09/08/2013

Life is slowly slotting into place :beer:0 -
My friend is pregnant at the moment, so I'll be watching how it affects her life, her personality, our friendship etc.
Gee, I feel so liberated when I imagine myself not being committed to a child for twenty years or even longer!!
