Family cut themselves out of my son's life

  • I just got them in, no trouble, no cars outside. All dirty and unsellable anyway, left a note for my neighbour to knock once she gets back, in case she wants any of it. There are some making bits and some baby toys that would be ok with a round in the washing machine. It's a shame all the big bits my sister took have all disappeared and not offered back. That's a pretty large chunk of my son's last xmas present haul, around £150, all gone to waste in a shed and now unsellable too! At least he's an only child so once a 'stage' has gone, like dinosaurs, it can all go, no clutter for the next one.

Hi I'm ok, tummy ache and headaches again (with numb hands too bizarrely), wiglet has got croup and watching films.

Had a text at 12.20 saying 'its SISTER leaving toys outside ur door make sure u bring em in b4 they get robbed'. We are upstairs luckily, but looked through peephole, toys are there, stairwell is quiet from what I can hear and deserted. It was from my mum's mobile though?? No knock or ring at intercom. I'll leave it an hour and bring them in, unlike some people I know my neighbors and know nothing would go missing in that time. But is this breaching that warning letter?

I got cold when I saw the text, thinking, oh god, round two. Thank god I walked dog early today and finished making lunch early too. I checked blacklist as I know I added that number to it, it was on there still? So not sure how she texted? Felt exposed cos that means its been silence from her not my magic blacklist stopping some torrent of words!

Block/black list will only stop the calls not the texts.

If you have an android phone download call control which can do both (free version will do)

It sounds like your Mum has taken the letter seriously Wiggy -hence the emphasis that it is your sister dropping off.

Frankly most people who are law abiding would take it seriously..... The police turning up last week probably shook her up especially when the letter arrived probably the next day/

Have you spoke to EE/Orange to get a free number change?
  • I'm not with orange anymore, giffgaff only.

    Hello fellow giffgaffer :)

if you contact an agent just before your next goodybag/topup and ask for a new number they'll change it and it'll go live when you renew or add credit to the account.

Hi, have you worked out how your sister got into the building? Also, why is it your mum texting and not your sister?
  • I don't know who was texting, it said from my sister but was mum's number. They got in using the entry key that they have along with my old lock front door key. I didn't see anyone though.
