aww Balla - congrats! there is nothing like your first child! or your second or third or more come to that!
they each bring along something special - and it was third child who brought about the 'blankie' tradition - as he couldn't be parted from his the older two wanted 'thiers' too! so I crocheted them thiers!

Wiggy - I only noticed this thread today, and have spent the past few hours reading it all through. I just wanted to say that you are an amazing mum and are doing the right thing for you and wiglet. Well done.

I think your comments could encourage someone with a rather sad problem to post Meri so maybe not. Reporting to ensure prompt removal and not commenting is more effective.

Hi Wiggy, how are thing today?
Treat other's how you like to be treated.

    Harry born 23/09/2008
New baby grandson, Louie born 28/06/2012,
Proud nanny to two beautiful boys :j
And now I have the joy of having my foster granddaughter becoming my real granddaughter. Can't ask for anything better

    UPDATE,
As of today 180919. my granddaughter is now my official granddaughter, adoption finally granted
  • Thanks, things are good. I look at my phone in the morning and still feel a sense of dread. It's nice that its silent and not buzzing all the time. I can only imagine what's going on over in their home.

I'm just watching films with wiglet, eating rum truffles, those special Dancake ones! :D

Have heard nothing from anyone again. I've got a busy week so hope, fingers crossed, she gets the message, leaves me alone for a while. I've started speaking to my neighbour more, I know her from secondary school actually, and she's having trouble being at home with two under 3s while partner works til late. Offering my support cos it sounds like a touch of PND. She is agoraphobic (sp?) cos of her ex too so might make a friend and wiglet may too! :)
Up and onwards to the future!

Good to read, wiggy - and Bonjour little wiglet, too. Much like the idea of early rum truffle training for future Spoiling Mum in the Style to Which etc.etc..........:-)

You were with both with me in private thoughts in our old village Church - Sung Eucharist at 11. I'm a recent more frequent, if still occasional, attender, thanks to new Vic.

Next forward step will be when you no longer feel in thrall/obeisance to your 'phone.
Don't let it be the first thing that controls your responses, rouses your interest, determines the course of your day.
I rarely answer either, landline or mob., rarely hear them. I'm out; I'm driving; I can't find the darned thing in the bottom of capacious carpet bag in time. If I hear Who and it's OK, I speak. I listen to any msgs when I get back.

    Pavlov's dogs?.........don't play.
And just to complete this NOMB sermon, stay mindful of your own priorities when you are becoming more friendly with neighbour. This is not meant unkindly, but as Ancient Woman Wisdom. Learning to Say No is a lifelong learning curve and needy situations in other needy people can impact upon your own. I suspect you are fully wise to this and will be able to encourage her and littlies out on joint leaf-kicking, puddle-splashing, mud-squidging etc.
If she/they won't/don't...wiggy and wiglet carry on walking, heads up, stepping out.
It's gloomy grey here, never good for the spirits, but I'll check in later that your afternoon has snuggle-warmed away peacably.
p.s. Spelling is spot on...one of my anorakisms.

Would hold your breath about the phone Wiggy's generation view phones a little differently to those of us who started out with mobile bricks ;)

Liking the rum truffles and relaxing vibe Wiggy.
Whatever is going on at your Mum's house isn't something you should worry about - just appreciate the fact you don't have to put up with her drama lama antics in yours.

Agreed, duchy - but I also think Wiggy is an exception to the umbilical phone-dependent.

its good if you can make a new 'friend' of your neighbour wiggy and some little friends for wiglet! I know you have felt quite 'isolated' til now. Internet support is all very well - but it still doesn't beat human contact!
    Have a nice peaceful Sunday!

Don't be surprised if you get a phone call on Monday from the Health Visitor, I believe if there is a child under 5 in the house when police are called they let the HV know (and the social worker if you had one), it's to support you so don't worry they'll just want to check you are both ok - and as you've already warned them about your mother part of them may have been expecting it
