Family cut themselves out of my son's life

My goodness, I have an evening off the laptop and look what happens!! Wiggy, you were brilliant, well done, girl. That took some guts to stay strong all through that. I think anyone reading this who has encountered domestic violence will recognise the feeling of being afraid in your own home. And even worse, this was caused by your mother! For me, that has to be the worst thing - my girls are the most important things in the world to me, along with the grandchildren of course. I know she's your mum Wiggy, but my god, what an evil witch!
So tonight I hope you're snuggled up with Wiglet watching Strictly or whatever else floats your boat, doors firmly locked, with some yummy goodies to nibble on. We're all with you!0 -
Thank you again, all of you have given me so much hope!
We had a good day, a bit of shopping and took wiglet to an indoor play centre, which he loved. Had my legal letter confirming my actions by Family Law Group. Heard nothing or seen nothing by my mum, must have got letter but no reaction yet.
When you put a number on blacklist, does it tell that person? Does your message still send or come back not possible to send? Just wondering if she's calling/messaging furiously or realises what I did?Up and onwards to the future!

Regarding the blacklist, I don't know. But, if I were you, I wouldn't care. Let her call, message, do her worst. She cannot touch you now.0 -
Does it matter Wiggy? whatever it shows - she isn't going to be pleased!
So glad you had a good day! This is what you should concentrate on! not all this crap from your mum!
actually, I don't think I should use the term 'mum' - she isn't one! Mums are lovable and love back, Mums are what you are to your Wiglet! you had a mother in the biological sense of the word. she isn't a Mum!
So from hence forth - I will call her 'mother', if you don't want to me to call her rude names that is!0 -
Don't know have googled and got different answers.
Maybe depends on phone provider.
Also will depend on their phone settings I guess.
Like mine won't tell me that a text has gone but will eventually tell me a text hasn't gone iyswim63 mortgage payments to go.
Zero wins 2016 😥0 -
I'm so glad you are managing to give Wiglet a normal happy life despite all your mother is putting you through, Wiggy.
What a fun day he had. Well done.
Hopefully it won't be long before you can relax and enjoy every day like this without the fear of conflict or aggression hanging over you. The steps you've put in place are the start of a journey to a secure, happy and contented life for both of you.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Any more posts you want to make on something you obviously know very little about?"
Is an actual reaction to my posts, so please don't rely on anything I say.0 -
I have been lurking on this thread but haven't commented - until now.
Wiggywoo - what you are going through at the hands of your "mum" is awful and I really hope the letter frightens her enough to make her stop terrifying and threatening you. I admire the way you have dealt with all this carp.
Wiggyisaliar - you've had your five minutes attention. It's way past your bedtime, even for a weekend. So, turn off your bedside light, cuddle up to Teddy and, in the words of Morgan Freeman " Go the f to sleep".0 -
Personally - I would like the last page gone! but, perhaps it good that Wiggy knows she has a LOT of support on here!
I think we have 'adopted' her!
I hope she is having a peaceful and quiet Saturday night with her son.
I used to love watching videos and eating popcorn and snuggling under my crochet blankies with the kids - and I get to do it all over again with the grandkids! only we watch DVDs now!0 -
Actually WIAL what you are saying is not the truth but your opinion of the matter0
-
Meritaten - ditto! Deep breath, they are just looking for attention. Don't give in.
I like your crochet blanket and popcorn picture, expecting my first ankle biter in Apr and I keep thinking about doing stuff like this with him!0
