    Hi

I just thought I'd update. I had a library job interview last week, but don't think I got the job, just a feeling. My classes and TA volunteering is going well- two successful observations and I passed my L1 test. That means on to L2- which means I can maybe get an equivalent C grade that would let me get on a PGCE course! :D

Wiglet is doing well, found him a primary school nursery for next year and he is blossoming at the nursery and childminder. He is doing great with his dad and he is going to start seeing him twice a week now!

I'm taking on two meet-up responsibilities for two parenting groups. I've made two new friends and we're going to the cinema together this week. I'm also trying to lose weight (she says with a snack beside her... lol) and I've joined an online dating site. Just casually looking, not particularly interested in anything yet.

I spoke to my legal adviser. Need to send them a copy of the incident report from police, so called them and sent a request in writing. Just waiting for that to come back to send to legal adviser, then they can get the ball rolling on the contact issue. I expect my mum will be sending another letter via solicitors shortly, but I'm working on my side so not worried.

Have heard nothing from any family, no-one not even my nan. Planning to send mother's day flowers to my nan though as I would normally and take me and wiglet out for a meal on that day if I can spare some money.

Anyway, thanks for all your support. Things are very good and I'm quite happy right now :)
Up and onwards to the future!

That's lovely to hear, wiggy. I'm so glad life is peaceful for you and that your making friends.
You never know what will happen with the online dating, if you meet someone you like and anything happens, it's meant to be. Take it slow and steady and let nature take it's course, :D

Have you considered "Meet up" Wiggy ? Rather than a dating site it's a "doing things with new people" site . Could be a meal out, a country walk anything. It might be a good way of building your social network.

Its great to hear wiggy's news, a truly upbeat update.

I hope there are lots more too. :)

But, if she stops posting on this thread I'll be equally hopeful and happy. We 'met' wiggy at a very low time in her life. Already, in what might feel a while to her but I. What is in reality such a short time, she has really made the most amazing changes in her life. She doesn't really 'need' the support here regularly and IMO this is testament to the advice so many of you gave so well and kindly, and also mostly to wiggy herself.

Life holds lots of twists or and turns, and wiggy is young and her life is going to have so much more in it yet, and people might well be able to help with that, it can be a great group here, but....I'm just thrilled for her now not needing to update IYSWIM. Of course, that peoe are here when she does is also great......I hope its clear what I'm saying....I think wiggy's done well.

If anyone is still out there, it is back to square one.

I was told by my legal adviser that they needed a letter confirming that a formal warning or caution was needed to continue to support my case and now tackle the contact issue with my mother. I was told on the phone by police that I needed to write to their office to get this. It had not come a month later so today I called to check where it was and the actions when they went to my mother's home.

And apparently, nothing happened. No warning, no caution, nothing, recorded in a letter that must have got lost back to me. The officer I gave my statement to said quite firmly that a caution would be served, minimum in her home, if necessary at the station, if not at least a formal warning. So what the hell? Now my legal adviser is going to close my case and i'm left vulnerable and without help if SHE comes back again.

I've seen nor heard nothing of her or anyone. The first letter from her solicitors was dated 17th December 13, the second 29th January 14. I worked out they are roughly 7 weeks apart, if there will be another, it will be due this week give or take a few days.

I'm getting very worried that she could completely take hold of the contact issue now, take me to court to get contact, and me not have any evidence of anything against her, be free to see my son again. I will leave the country if it comes to that, I will literally change address and run. I am not having her in our lives, no matter if it is legal or not!

    Can anyone advise?

Note- the mediation referral mentioned in letter no.2 has not materialised- heard nothing about that though it is threatened.
Up and onwards to the future!
