I'm happy to have my cat on the bed at night but if I had company she'd be shut out of the room, quite simple for me personally.

I gave up trying to shut my cat out of the bedroom. He'd bang on the door and make a hell of a noise. If that didn't work, he'd go outside, climb up the front of the house and hammer on the bedroom window while meowing at the top of his voice. I had to let him in for the sake of the neighbours' sleep.

  • Amazed at people saying they 'have' to let their dogs/cats in the bedroom otherwise they'd misbehave, errrr, how about some discipline? Ever watched Cesar Millan, who usually needs more training, the pet or the owners?

    I've got this as well.

I can still 'perform' but I have to say it is slightly off putting when the yorkshire terrier sniffs the air!

That's the good thing about cats, they just go to sleep

    Absolutely revolting!

Allowing something that licks other animals butts, its own parts and eats god knows what, has the potential for fleas, worms and ticks lie in your bed and breath on you and lick you.....*shudders*

But I LOVE my husband :rotfl:

:rotfl:I actually know a couple of women who's husbands are easily more revolting than their pets (personal hygiene wise), so given the choice, they probably prefer to sleep with their dogs.

Our dog chooses to sleep in the spare room, I think the OH's snoring has put him off sharing our bedroom. (Obviously I don't snore ;) ). He does get on the bed for cuddles in the morning though, which is lovely.

Although I don't let her in the bedroom I do let Bailie on the sofa. This is a really big deal for me as I've never allowed a dog on the sofa before. That's when we have our cuddles. She will quite often come out to the kitchen to see why I haven't sat down with her yet, and when she realises that I'm busy and may be some time, she lays on her bed (in the kitchen) looks at me with her big brown eyes and gives a big sigh, as if to say "come on woman, hurry up". Then when I want to sit on the sofa she dives straight on to the bit I want to sit on and a "fight" ensues. Then she spends a couple of minutes climbing all over me but eventually settles down with her head on my lap, rolls onto her back with her legs in the air and goes to sleep.:)
