I have a lovely little cat who I've had longer than I've been with my oh. She cuddles up next to me in bed at night.

My oh hates it but she cries and scratches the door to get in, so I let her in, but I also like having her there. We argue about it sometimes. (But then sometimes he cuddles her when she is snuggly to him in the mornings so what does he expect???)

What's your thoughts on pets in the bedroom?

I was just wondering what other people think. I let her in regardless. She's my baby lol!

I think few things are as lovely as having my cat cuddle up with us in bed.

Me too. Her purr is very comforting. She's so timid and shy around everyone else, but when it's just me and her she is so cute and funny. I've had to video her a few times to prove to my oh what she's really like!

I don't like pets in the bedroom and the cat knows not to go in there. It's mostly because both husband and I are allergic to cats (and dogs but we don't have one of those) so I like to sleep in a pet free zone. Apart from the allergy, there is no way I could sleep with Floyd (the cat) he takes over an entire 3 seater sofa so I know he'd have the lions share of the bed, we'd end up falling out:rotfl:

On the bed yes, in the bed no.
In the summer my cat sleeps on a green cotton throw which covers half the bottom of my bed (to protect duvet from her hair- well I have to try :rotfl: ) for that very purpose.
In the winter I have the waffle blanket on top to try and stem the flow of cat hair onto the next blanket (then duvet and top sheet).
Sometimes she sneaks next to my pillows though directly on the bottom sheet :o

Generally I have my top window opened as long as possible, when that happens she is shut out of the room. It's winter most likely she will be with me over night, or when I sleep during the day. In the summer she has to settle for a few hours until lights out, window open and cat out!

My dogs sleep in our bedroom. They sleep on the floor and aren't allowed on the bed.

When we go out we put a lock on the door (otherwise they just push the door open). Unfortunately one of the dogs has taken to piddling on hubbys side of the bed.:D She is totally toilet trained so theres obviously a reason why she does it where she does.

Our cat is currently fast asleep, half on my legs, half stretched across the bed. OH should have come to bed sooner, there's no room for him now :)
