Doesn't bother me at all, I wash my bedding frequently enough to get rid of the fur.

Currently lying in bed with boy cat curled up in the bottom corner, neither of my 2 are lap cats though, wish they were.

Gosh, we've lots of cats. I usually have to wriggle around at least four and dh to find space for myself. Nice and snuggly :) Our bed is by a south facing window and as it gets wintery we get more and more of the feline family congregating there. The only problem is muddy paw prints so we stop using all white bed linen when it is wet.

Dog sleeps on the bed but unfortunately cleans his feet while he's there!

Until recently, cats and dogs were both banned from the bedroom completely. Then the cats and later the dog died, and we got Rescue Cat. She is very insecure and was digging up the carpet to be let in, so my dear OH let her in and now it is a nightly thing. She likes to sleep where my feet should be, so every night is a battle for territory.

I'm not 100% happy with this, as I don't like pets in the bedroom at all, but I'm outvoted on this one.

If I ever dated a woman who had dogs or cats in her bedroom, I would be concerned. After all, if you want to ... you know ... what do you do with the animal? Let it watch?

My cat is snuggled up in bed with me right now.

When I first got him I hated it because he purrs for about an hour as he settles and I couldn't stand the noise. Complete opposite now. I find it hard to settle if he isn't purring lol.

I wish I could being the dogs to bed because they're like hot water bottles lol. But the cats would not be amused so no dogs in the bedrooms.

  • The Cat is allowed to sleep on the bed during the day, but the dog stays downstairs.

At night I put the cat downstairs, because I don't like being woken at 4am by her scratching to go out.

I also got rid of the TV from our bedroom.

Both of these has had a positive impact to our sex life.

My Poodle sleeps on the bed next to me every night. I feel safe and secure knowing he's there. He doesn't smell and a Poodle coat sheds very little fur, so actually there are more of MY hairs on the pillowcase than his!

I just don't see the problem with it. I don't ever plan on having another partner, but if |I did they'd have to adapt to the Poodle arrangement...

I've had to ban them since one cat went climbing and knocked a suitcase and 200 books onto me. Now the bedroom door is permanently shut. I could probably cope with 1 cat, but 5 of our 9 make a beeline for the bed whenever they can, and then fight over the best spots.

Cats in with us. Always have been. Since we had no heating they have proved in valuable.

Dogs....not in the bed certainly, but sometimes on it. When we just had one she used to sleep up with us more often, but now w have three they sleep down stairs together with set routine they know. The only thing is the routine is very tieing! When the oldest most routine tied dog who also would suffer with stairs is gone we have talked about havin the other two upstairs, on the floor, may be on the landing, so we can be less tied to routine to let them out....maybe get a sleep in if they are ok with that!

I often get my dog from downstairs on a weekend morning and he comes on the bed. He's like my shadow so whenever I go into my room to get changed/shower/pick something up he comes and sits on the bed and watches me. Never bothered me. I don't let him sleep on the bed though, dogs move around too much in the night and wake me up. He's slept in the room a couple of times when we've had thunder storms but the don't seem to phase him!

Not looking forward to the next few weeks with fireworks though...it'll be his first bonfire night!
