Until recently, cats and dogs were both banned from the bedroom completely. Then the cats and later the dog died, and we got Rescue Cat. She is very insecure and was digging up the carpet to be let in, so my dear OH let her in and now it is a nightly thing. She likes to sleep where my feet should be, so every night is a battle for territory.

I'm not 100% happy with this, as I don't like pets in the bedroom at all, but I'm outvoted on this one.

If I ever dated a woman who had dogs or cats in her bedroom, I would be concerned. After all, if you want to ... you know ... what do you do with the animal? Let it watch?

What do you do? We just ignore them and they are pretty bored with the whole thing when they get the idea that they are not included in the cuddle this time. Mind you, it is possible we might have to be more forceful with New Kitten - telling her to go away.

We once had a cat who was very much in love with DH. She growled at me once or twice :):) And then went off in a huff so no big deal.

Would you make your partner have a shower before having sex?

Yes, if they hadn't recently had one, as would I. Can't see what's strange about that - to make an effort to be clean and fragrant for your partner.

Our cats can sleep anywhere they like. Don't bring a dog to visit though as he wont be allowed through the front door.

My dog is allowed in the bed if he wants to, but he rarely does. Sometimes he'll come on the ned if hes in a cuddly mood but most of the time he just wants to get up to go play. He's a very large, very fluffy GSD so theres not much avoiding him if hes on the bed lol

My cats were not allowed in the bedroom but after my husband left I thought what the heck. Why are we sleeping apart. Its our house, we can do what we like.

I haven't regretted it. They sleep on top of the bed, not in and I have an extra cover on top that I change daily so the fur doesn't build up and any specs of dirt from their paws doesn't get on the bedclothes.

They lie next to me so I can cuddle them or even use one to lean against a bit like a pillow. They tend to curl lengthways around my arm, wrapping their paws round my arm and pull my hand under their face for their pillow. It is heaven and so comforting.

When dh allowed our dog in the bedroom it was the end of our sex life! The dog used to rest his head on the side of the bed and stare at us. I'm sorry but I can't perform with an audience! It was the most off putting thing in the world. Admittedly I wasn't that bothered and nor was dh apparently! I told him he had a choice of who he shared the bed with, me or the dog, and he chose the dog. I was secretly quite pleased with this as dh used to snore for England so if it wasn't the dog farting and licking it was dh driving the pigs home that woke me up EVERY BL00DY NIGHT!!!!
