No damage here that I can see, down near the south coast. We still have 3 chimneys and two wheelie bins, a full compliment of windows etc. and the chickenshed roof stayed put. The only nuisance is that the log store door blew open and the wood at the front is a bit damp. Oh, and the last of the apples have blown down so I'll be spending much of the day with my peeling knife!

Wet n windy here in milton keynes but I tuink the gusts have certainly lessened. The onky casualty seems to be our estate agent sign which is cable tied to a tree at the front of our property and is currently horizontal. ....

Well have heard on the radio that there is a trampoline on the M25! Not sure how big it is. Very gusty here and lights keep flickering but sill wait and see.

The bungalow across the road from us has a huge tree in the back garden, part of it has fractured and is hanging upside down! I can see that causing some damage soon. It's gone very dark again and the gusts are still very strong. Lots of trees down locally and they've closed the port completely.

From what I've read on another forum, it looks like a squall line is forming west of London and will start rolling in at around 8am, westerly 70 to 80mph likely, possibly stronger gusts. It's not going to be pretty out there.

Though things seem to be quieter now round where I am than they were 1 hour ago, so maybe it came early?

Nothing much to report in Northamptonshire. Woken shortly after 6am by very heavy rain. Now it's just "normal" rain and a moderate breeze. I certainly wouldn't call it a storm...

That being said, Mr Weatherman says it's gonna last until at least 10am, so there's still time...
