The media are yet again absolutely salivating in anticipation at the prospect of possibly some more bad weather (it is autumn after all, is it not?) so I tend to not bother with them given that they do sensation rather than information. I'll most certainly keep an eye on things on the Met Office website in case it does turn out to be another bad storm (I would really, really like not to have a repeat though, it was rough) but Sky et al. can go jump off a cliff...

However I would say it's probably sensible for anyone who was hit by the wind on Sunday and yesterday to do whatever repairs, no matter how minor, sooner rather than later because if a roof or other structure has been weakened already, then it might get more seriously damaged the next time the wind is up.
