Morning!
Where abouts are you in northants? Im in Northampton and had to take hubby work as he couldnt go on his motorbike:eek:
There is lots and lots of surface water and seen a branch down
Edit
Jst been on anglian news. A14, A45, A428? Bedford road all have lots of water and giving out travels warnings
I'm in Northampton as well. Looking out of the window (I overlook the A45 by the Queen Eleanor roundabout), traffic going east towards Wellingborough is almost at a standstill. I wonder if there is debris further up the road, or just bad surface water, as you say.
Traffic is flowing absolutely fine westwards towards the M1.
The rain has stopped now and I can see blue sky.Because it's fun to have money!

Here in S E Wales Valleys we seem to have missed it too! Don't know whether to be relieved or disappointed!
Woke up a couple of times in the night (normal for me), and the rain was as usual and I would say the wind was even a bit lighter than usual - even on a quiet night I can usually hear it whistling up the valley.
I feel so bad for the poor family whose son is missing.0 -
Just a normal slightly windy day here now. It turned out to be a bit of a damp squib after all. DH was rolling his eyes when he saw me collected strategically placed torches from around the house.
Good news is that DS1 should encounter no problems coming back to London for a visit. I'm really looking forward to seeing him0 -

I think it might even be calmer than normal here in the northeast coast, it's normally blowing a gale and totally calm this morning.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.0

Time to pretend that I am a cat a go for a nap
The 3.30am wake up call didn't do me much good. Still fairly rough & windy out here but nothing like the nearly 70mph from this morning.
Now free from the incompetence of vodafail0 -
