The seafront lights in Exmouth have all gone out now.0

Pleased to report that daughter has finally made it back to Bristol from the wild and unforgiving territory of, um... Newport. She is soaked to the bone, but says it is not particularly windy out yet, as well as 'stop being so over-dramatic, Mum'December 'Make £10 A Day' Challenge - £1.82/£155.000

I'm watching the Exmouth webcam...
I've always fancied a seafront view. It never occurred to me look for a seafront webcam so that I could look at one whenever I wanted. Am sad enough to have added it to favourites and have been intermittently staring at a darkened puddle for several seconds at a time
Have also (only just!) realised that we went along Exmouth beach and back on an open top bus when we stayed at Devon Cliffs in the summer. It looks different in the dark (my excuse for not being quicker on the uptake, and I'm sticking to it)

63 mph at Portland
So it's moving up the coast but doesn't seem to be getting stronger0 -
I live on the seafront and have to say its a bit of a damp squib. I watch sat24 religiously during weather problems and it has dispersed.
I don't think the transport companies overreacted though. Imagine all of us commuters turning up to find out that our trains were cancelled!
I really believe that we were given the best advice and it'd nipped it in the bud.
I truly hope for us in the East I haven't made a massive mistake.0 -
Fair to heavy drizzle, just north of Straford-Upon-Avon !!!0
