Ok, so, my first thoughts were 'how terrible' 'wonder who she is' etc etc.

Then I thought, what if this guy dropped dead suddenly tomorrow - OP, you'd NEVER find out because no one knows about you. Not one friend of his, none of his family, no one. Everyone would go running to this Alice person, she'd know nothing of you either. If you dropped dead tomorrow, there are people who 'know of' him on your side, at least he'd find out!

Then, I lost all seriousness of the situation and started to see the thread as a complete and utter joke.

I apologise if that offends you but I did find myself wondering why you haven't headed to the more 'specialist' sites to seek some sort of advice. There are many ways you could've hidden your identity etc. The whole BDSM thing is clearly playing a massive part in this situation and in your relationship so, maybe you should seek advice from people who know more about it/willing to admit they know more about it and openly discuss it.

What I meant is, the reasons the OP is giving for posting on MSE (under a new name) and not a BDSM or other specific relationship site, don't quite cut it and make them look rather trollish.

I think that, if we're all honest, we're all treating it as bit of a joke but want to offer advice so as to seem sincere.... And to encourage the OP to divulge more information
