Have you ever asked why he sends her money, by the way? (I've only skimmed through the thread this morning so no doubt I've missed it). Was it something to do with because she can't support herself because she's always ill?

That doesn't make sense. Even if he still loves her, I can't imagine why he'd send her money (being not wealthy) to support herself due to illness. There MUST be something to do with Alice which means he HAS to send her money, a child, a mortgage, blackmail.

Why? If he puts her on speakerphone (or even just stays in the room with you) all that does is prove his side of the story to you. He doesn't need to mention that you're there, or tell her anything about you. The fact that he won't even have a conversation with her while you're in earshot really does speak volumes.

Did your marriage break up due to your relationship with this man? Was that recently? Do you have other "Subs" on the go?

I think you are wanting more out of this relationship than he is.

There is such a thing as a financial dominatrix. men all over the world send women they've never even met substantial amounts of money, gifts, pay their rent, pay their bills. Sometimes these women don't even do anything return - no contact, no pictures. they just take the money cos the blokes get off on giving them the money, in some cases leaving them destitute.

I'd suggest that Alice is one and the fella is lying because he doesn't want to admit that he has two Mistresses. She calls to tell him what a naughty boy he is and to send her more money. OP can't hear this and he pretends she's this weak ex girlfriend who can't let go of him.

It sounds a most unhealthy triangle to me. No confidence or trust in any of the parties.

I think he likes having two women on the go, and likes all the secrecy.
