I fell for this scam too last night, I did research on the product beforehand and it seemed legit, nothing came up about the misleading way the site take our money! however, 15-20minutes later i saw it and instantly cancelled my card, halifax cancelled it and now im sat waiting. can banks cancel cards whilst payments are pending? it would seem one must be pending with a convenient gap of £155 between money available and my account/overdraft limit should allow when i checked this morning.
now here's my dilemma. i will visit my bank later to discuss further, but lets say that they have a pending payment in place, im going to be stuck for a refund. Even if i do get through (I didnt last night), my card is cancelled now so they wont have details to send refund to, and there is no way im giving them my other/new ones!
I hear things about chargeback, what is this and how likely am i to get my money back from the bank?
Im always the one who tells others about scams and ive been done myself, so annoyed and barely slept a wink last night!
any help would be appreciated (when i say any, that excludes wealdrom's 'help')
thank you0 -
Just to update. I have returned the packet tracked special delivery to the address in Linlithgow, West Lothian and it was picked up and signed by a man called Mr P Lacki. I called the 0800 404 6960 - spoke to an american chap who took tracking number, confirmed that it'd been received and said I would receive refund within 30 days.....so just going to wait. Feeling sorry for all the ones that are still getting fooled into this. : (0

OK, it may not be in the T&Cs, but it is on the same webpage where you are asked for your card details.
Thank you.
My page where I imputed my card details; wasn't like that from what I can remember; but I do remember that the next page was white and had
Price of item; then it was deducted then 7.99 p&p with a £3 discount-
Said total to pay £4.99 there was no mention of rebate on that page what so ever.
The fact is its very misleading; and as there have been many of us scammed I'm sure we are not wrong. When I read T&C's there was no mention of my card being used to debit £153.95. That's it the fact here. They are misleading people. If I had seen the £153.95 that was chargeable there and then I'm sorry I would not have gone on any further - what's more fb still has this up!!!
Can I ask wealdroam do you have any involvement with this company?0 -
I got caught on this this morning, found this thread and cancelled my credit card before any damage done. I noticed "weemanmike" said it was an Milton Keynes address, so as I live in Milton Keynes I contacted our local newspaper and directed him to this forum! Maybe he can do some digging and sort these scumbags! Good luck Dave from Milton Keynes citizen.0

Actually while I'm thinking about it I did notice another scam using a magazine format for a raspberry ketone product.
womenbeautymagazine.com/2013/03/raspberry-ketone-diet-exposed-miracle-diet-or-scam/
It has the same format, even down to the wording on the trial.
I think this might be a lot bigger than you might think.0 -

Why do you ask?
I simply responded to the point you made that:Liver_bird wrote: »...I agreed to £4.99 on my card but did not authorise £153.95 & £1.99 that they took off my card;0 -
I realized on 22/03/14 that £153.95 + £1.99 was taken from my account. I phoned my back and spoke to the fraud team. They said nothing can be done till the money show on my statement. They cancelled my card and issued a new one. They advised me to phone tje dispute line which I did on Monday. The person at Barclay s was fantastic. He informed me that Big Nutra works under 3 companies and he put a note on my account to prevent any more transactions. I spoke to my bank again today and the informed me that the money still has not been received. If it is not recieved my midnight tonight it will be returned to my account.
I did phone the 800 number on money and spoke to someone in the USA. He was so rude. I informed him of my rights and he said they use American laws. I informed him if they are trading in the Uk then these are the rules I follow. He was the rudest person I have ever spoken to.
Barclay s bank reassurance was amazing. Id advise for everyone to contact there bank right away and enquiry about the charge back .0 -

Sorry to say that you are mistaken there.
Generally, if you purchase from a company based in the USA, then USA laws prevail.
Think about it for a moment.
How are you going to enforce UK laws on a foreign company? Take them to court in the UK? They won't turn up. So even if you win a case in the UK against a US company, they do not have to pay and there is no way you can force them to.0 -
Can I ask if anyone has yet got their money back if they have returned the goods and waited 30 days?
By the way, the returns address on their website is correct. I returned mine and they received it and signed for it.0 -

My partner has just fallen for this, and I'm now left to try and sort it out!
She received a confirmation email saying she ordered the 90 day supply, and it has a telephone number at the top of the email '0-800-404-6960' which I've been trying all day today (off work with the flu!) but no-one has answered.
On the bottom of the mail there is a link that goes to a mail-in rebate form, which says it will be activate 30 days after the order date.
And low and behold our account has been charged for £153.95 from someone called Nutramega, and £1.95 from ketone something or other.
She order this on Saturday and we actually got a package today, with 1 bottle of pills in (which I've told her to not even bloody look at, considering the cost £150 !!!!!!).
There are two addresses on the package.
The first one says, if undeliverable return to:
Po Box 7574, Milton Keynes, MK11 9GQ.
And the other says, return to:
World Fulfillment Services Ltd, 40 Tanners Drive, Milton Keynes, MK14 5BN.
So my main question is, as I can't get through to any other the telephone numbers, what are my options?
From others responses about getting an RMA number, I'm reluctant to just send it back, but if I can't get through on the telephone what am I to do?
Is it worth the risk of waiting for the 30 days to be up, and then try to mail-in rebate link?
But if it doesn't work, I'm a bit stuffed as the 30 days return period will be up.
They're clever sods this lot aren't they!
Any advice is appreciated.
Okay guys when I got involved in this scam I came on his page for help.
Bascially first of all don't feel stupid, it's so easy to fall for these things, we are normal
The first thing I did when this happened was ring the number on the website which offered, after I held on the line past the options, took me to an American number who said I had to wait for the products to be delivered and gave me an rma number.
The next day I rang my bank, TSB.
The women told me I had to wait until the money withdrawal had come up on my statement and then ring back and ask for DEBIT CARD DISPUTES
2 days later I did this, debit card disputes told me I had to wait for products to arrive, then send them back to the address on the website with an attached letter saying I wanted a full refund and no subscriptions, then send a letter to the bank at the address they gave me with a copy of this letter and an explanation of what's happened and proof of postage from the post office of return. Do postage TRACKED MAIL
I did all this and the bank told me they had to wait 15 days for the dispute to go through
Altogether a month later I have all my money back, the money isn't from the company it's from my bank, I never got through to the actual company instead went completely through my bank for the help.
Keep talking to your banks guys they should help with these scams! Hope this helps x0
