Really pleased to see this thread back,i had a very odd one a couple of nights ago and was only thinking I wish I could get some interpretation lol.
Anyway the dream:
I was pregnant and told to expect a boy (might be useful to say now that my family is complete and I do not want or will ever have more children) then I went into labour and gave birth to a girl followed by another girl,it was twins.
I said to my husband that he must go quickly and exchange all of the blue clothes we had bought for pink ones which he did.
The next thing we were walking with the babies,we each had one in a sling and we were walking over a bridge but the railing on the bridge had broken and I was panicking,we made it over the bridge safely and my husband said 'It's okay, you wont be scared next time it's just because it was the first time you have done it in ages'.
I looked down at the baby in my sling and announced I was going to call her Emily,no offence to anyone who loves the name but it is not one I would ever choose,i told my husband he was welcome to name the other baby as I had chosen Emily then I woke up.
Any insight? Thanks
Pregnancy dreams symbolize the developing of a new idea, adventure, project or scheme.
This new venture appears to be heading one way but has perhaps grown to be something bigger than expected and perhaps different to the original idea, hence the female twins instead of the male single baby. Twins can also represent conflicting ideas.
Giving birth is representative of bringing the venture to life.
The bridge indicates an important decision to be made, that you may be at a critical junction with this venture and you feel unsure, it feels dangerous and unsafe but ultimately it is doable.
Your husband's role in the dream depicts your relationship with him in waking life, the dream suggests he is a great support and is very encouraging.
Hope this makes some sense xI don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.0 -
That's spot on pukkamum thank you! I am overly organised always making lists etc and stressing about what I need to remember/what needs to be done. Drive myself mad sometimes!
I'm glad it makes sense moggins, listen to what your subconcious is telling you, cut back!I don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.0 -
Ok. I have recurring dreams. I'm either being chased or in a scary situation and I try to run and I'm going through the motions but can't move I switch lights on and off and the switch doesn't work. I scream only no sound comes out. Some of the time I seem to subconsciously? Realise I'm dreaming but whether it is in the dream that I think I'm dreaming or RL I don't know. I would love to know what this means as I often wake up upset.
Hi there being chased by something scary indicates you have a powerful talent that you are struggling to evolve and refine, not being able to move indicates youare being held back from using or evolving this talent by anxiety and fear, perhaps the fear of failure.
The light switch not working shows a lack of insight and or perspective perhaps you are struggling to know how or whether to use or evolve this talent.
The silent screaming are unspoken feelings and frustrations surrounding this situation.
The realisation of being in a dream is called lucid dreaming, it occurs when you dream whikst on the cusp of waking, and it means you can control certain aspects of the dream, this is particularly useful in chase dreams, try asking the pursuer what it wants, you may just get an answer!I don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.0 -

Interesting thread.:)I'd love to know what the recurring theme in my dream means. I often dream of packing, its usually in different places and for different reasons but the packing is neverending I keep finding more and more things to pack and I'm conscious that I need to leave the place soon but am anxious about leaving anything behind. I feel exhausted when I wake up
I have dreams like this when I am trying to travel somewhere and it's taking ages or I am doing a household task over and over and I wake up so tired.:mad:0 -
Hi water represents our emotional state, it being a swimming pool indicates you are thinking about how your relationship with others affects you.
You are sitting on the side not getting in this suggests there is a change or new experience you are hesitating about embracing, as its a swimming pool I would think this is a new relationship, perhaps personal or professional, that you are hesitating to fully embrace as you aren't sure how it will affect you.
Your old friend gets in the pool they represent a part of yourself you need to reconnect with in order to embrace this new realtionship.
The water being warm and pleasant suggests your subconcious is telling you this new aspect in your life will be pleasurable.
Thank you. I definitely agree with the bit about the old friend and the warm water!
No new personal or professional relationships here at the moment. I haven't actually managed an evening out yet this year and rarely see anyone outside of my family. (Single parent in a small village!)
The only new thing coming up is that I have to decide whether my younger son goes to the local high school or to an autism base in a high school further away. There isn't a choice really but a bit of me is clinging to the "oh, I'm sure there's nothing wrong with him and he'll miraculously manage in a mainstream school" when in truth I need to get the form signed and sent off!0 -
I have a few recurring themes to my dreams that I dream about frequently.
The first is that I need to go to the toilet, not desperately but I'm looking for a toilet. Anyway, when I find the toilets, wherever I am, it's always a huge room with lots of cubicles but all of the toilets are clogged and overflowing and generally a bit disgusting...
The second is that I'll be walking along somewhere when I start running and jumping, and suddenly I'm jumping really high, like I'm bouncing like Tigger but really really high. I panic when I realise I'm jumping so high but then I realise it's ok and quite fun, but it's always a bit scary when I'm coming back down to earth.
And the last one revolves around lifts, as in elevators. Sometimes I have to squeeze myself into a lift that's really small, sometimes I'll be in a sort of glass lift that will all of a sudden become just a platform with a rail around it. Sometimes the lift will not stop at the right floor, so I have to go up and down for ages, stopping at random floors, before I can get off at the right floor. Often when the lift is just a platform, it doesn't go up and down in a lift shaft but sort of flies around the building randomly, and I have to hold on.
The second two seem quite similar, in a kind of lack of control way, but I don't know if that's right.
Dreaming about toilets indicate an unhealthy situation in your life that you don't know how to deal with.
Looking for a toilet means you are looking for a way to tell someone what you need. The dirty toilet represents a worry that voicing your needs will lead to a messy situation, possibly with tears or that your requests for help will be blocked.
The jumping dream is your subconcious telling you to take a risk, a leap of faith, just go for it and you can overcome any obstacles and progress to your goals.
Lifts can symbolise career progression, the tiny lift reflects feeling stifled in your current role, you feel there is no room for expansion.
The glass lift can indicate promotion, you see it as brighter, lighter and better but it feels precarious, not solid.
Arriving at the wrong floor, going up, down and sideways suggests you know this promotion still isn't going to take you where you want to be.
This dream suggests the career path you are on doesn't feel quite right and combined with the jumping dream suggests you need to take a leap of faith to change things.
Please don't take this as me telling you to quit your job, I am simply interpretating the symbolism. XI don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.0 -

This dream indicates that in waking life you are a very organised person, cramming your life with responsibilities and trying to live up to expectations, thinking this will lead you to acheiving your goals and having a better life.In reality these responsibilities and expectations are weighing you down making you feel chaotic and actually preventing you from reaching your goals. The dream is your subconcious telling you to cut down your excess baggage and burdens lighten your load in life then you will reach your destination.I don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.0 -
I have a bit of a recurring subject, if you wouldn't mind
The last couple of nights I have been dreaming of a lake. I can be travelling along, by any means, car/train/walking etc. and pass the most gorgeous, still, blue lake. It's the most lovely colour blue and is surrounded by trees. There aren't any animals by it or anything though.
I'm never just standing by it, I'm always travelling past.
Water is always emotion, the clear lovely lake indicates a sense of inner calm and peace, travelling in vehicles represent your journey through life, the different vehicles representing different aspects of your life, you seem to be very happy with every aspect of your life.
It could be your subconcious is letting you know this so you can fully relax and enjoy life.
A lovely dream!I don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.0 -
Oh, I love this thread! I have a recurring dream where I am running but it feels like I am in slow motion - no matter how much effort I put in, I can't seem to move very fast at all! I usually wake up before I get anywhere. I am usually running to something rather than away from something. Also, in a similar vein, I dream that I am trying to phone someone, but keep dialling the number wrong (again somewhat in slow motion) and have to start again. I've always been intrigued to know what this means.
Hi difficulty in running suggests there is a goal you are wanting to reach but you are being held back by anxiety and fear, perhaps fear of failure or a fear of anothers reaction.
The telephone misdialling indicates you are having difficulities relating to others, can't fully express yourself and are maybe overthinking things.I don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.0
