Hi, I had a dream the other night and I must admit I wondered what it meant.
I dreamt I was working in an office that was connected with show business and Darcey Bussell was one of the celebs we dealt with.. In the dream Darcey had something wrong with her throat and had to go into hospital for an operation. The next thing we heard was that she had died. We were all really upset. That's all really. The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0 -
Hi,
I have a recurring dream which is not very pleasant. I'm always outside and there is something in the sky which is I know is going to drop out of the sky and crash. It's usually an airliner, but has been a helicopter or a small plane. I know its going to happen and there is nothing I can do to stop it. Sometimes parts of the plane break off and fly towards me but never hit me and I'm always alright.
I usually wake up with a jump when I have this dream. I would be really interested to know your thoughts because it re-occurs sporadically and it would be interesting to know a trigger.
Many thanks'And our dreams will break the boundaries of our fears'0 -

Hi crocodiles represent our hidden strengths, freedom and power, having it as a child and being worried it's going to eat you would suggest you were starting to recognise your own strengths and power, leading to a sense of freedom but these feelings were very overwhelming, scary and all consuming.I don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.0 -
Hello again, glad it got sorted out!
My dream last night was I met up with my housemate from university (started there 20 years ago). We went to an outside swimming pool. I am not a fan of swimming pools (in real life, I mean) so I always walk around ones I haven't been to before and see where the deep end starts and where the steps are etc.
Anyway, I walked around the outside swimming pool in my dream and the layout was exactly the same as the normal indoor one I go to with my sons every week!
So I sat on the edge and put my feet in and was pleased to find it was really warm. Not like your normal outdoor pools, more like a bath. At the point where I was about to do some swimming, I woke up. I didn't really say anything to my friend in the dream and I think he started swimming as the dream ended too.
You are sitting on the side not getting in this suggests there is a change or new experience you are hesitating about embracing, as its a swimming pool I would think this is a new relationship, perhaps personal or professional, that you are hesitating to fully embrace as you aren't sure how it will affect you.
Your old friend gets in the pool they represent a part of yourself you need to reconnect with in order to embrace this new realtionship.
The water being warm and pleasant suggests your subconcious is telling you this new aspect in your life will be pleasurable.I don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.0 -
Glad the thread is back. I found it interesting.
I have three reoccurring dreams. Two that I would like analysed as I dream them so often.
Dream number 1. Flying. I'm very often standing in an exposed place such as a park or car park and I need to go somewhere so I fly. Occasionally my kids are with me (but they are young). I just hold on to them and we fly off. The dream always ends before we get there though.
Dream number 2. Walking beside a river bank and the ground starts to crumble under my feet and I begin to fall in. I never fall in though as the dream stops before I hit the water.
Hi judi, flying dreams are an expression of freedom, leaving behind limitations and restrictions, flying with your children indicates that by nurturing yourself you can gain freedom from limitations and restrictions.
A river represents the flow of your life and the events in your life, walking beside the river suggests you feel slightly on the sidelines of your own life, perhaps not fully in control of things that happen, as if you are watching your life go by.
The bank crumbles, you are going to fall in but you stop yourself by waking up, your subconcious is telling you to jump into your life, control its flow and the events.
I am inclined to think the dreams are connected by nuturing yourself, the first dream, you can free yourself from limitations and restrictions, and this will aid you in controlling the flow of your life.I don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.0 -

I'd love to know what the recurring theme in my dream means. I often dream of packing, its usually in different places and for different reasons but the packing is neverending I keep finding more and more things to pack and I'm conscious that I need to leave the place soon but am anxious about leaving anything behind. I feel exhausted when I wake up
This dream indicates that in waking life you are a very organised person, cramming your life with responsibilities and trying to live up to expectations, thinking this will lead you to acheiving your goals and having a better life.
In reality these responsibilities and expectations are weighing you down making you feel chaotic and actually preventing you from reaching your goals.
The dream is your subconcious telling you to cut down your excess baggage and burdens lighten your load in life then you will reach your destination.I don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.0 -
Cars indicate our movement through life, you being the driver indicates feelings of independance of being in control.
Your passengers are people you feel responsibility for, perhaps people you try and please or whose needs you put before your own.
When you insist that the journey to scotland is too far it is your subconcious telling you that you need to limit how much you do to please these passengers, that you feel they sometimes ask too much of you.
God, yes, I think youre right, I didnt really want to do the Sunday trip.
Can I say a big thank you for being gracious enough to do this again on MSE after last time being treated shabbily.
Its lovely of you to be prepared to do it again.0 -
That's spot on pukkamum thank you! I am overly organised always making lists etc and stressing about what I need to remember/what needs to be done. Drive myself mad sometimes!0
