Is there any meaning in this please?
This is called exploding head syndrome, I get it too, there is no definable cause but it has been linked to extreme fatigue!I don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.0 -

We're running around the house trying to hide with them peeking in the windows. I turn to my friend and say "I'm bored of this now, I'm not playing and I'm going to say something" friend tells me no I'll get eaten but I lean out the window anyway and say "I'm not playing anymore so don't eat me, just eat my friend" to which the dinosaur replies, "OK, we won't eat you, just your friend"
Then I wake up...
I do worry about my mind sometimes :rotfl:
I do tend to dream a lot about dinosaurs eating me which is weird. Lol.
Being eaten or a fear of being eaten indicates a feeling of being consumed by fear, pain and or emotion.I don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.0 -

Glad you got it all sorted out pukkamum
Does anyone have an urge to just make up all sorts of increasingly crazy 'dreams' and see what they mean?! Not really...:D
This one is not made up I promise, but anytime I am in a scary situation in a dream, I can't scream or speak. I open my mouth and try and strain and nothing comes out. That is a horrible horrible feeling that I can remember in waking life so vividly that sometimes I 'test' my scream when I am alone in the house because I worry if I were in a situation when I need to scream I might not be able to! Last night I needed to scream in my dream because there was an evil sheep at the bottom of the stairs trying to get up to me where I was standing at the top of the stairs. I was petrified and could not scream.
No need to analyse that, just thought I'd share!0 -
Hi I know you've got loads to look at, but I was wondering if you knew anything about this?
About twice a month I have this dream where I "wake up" in bed, it's still night time and as far as I'm concerned I'm properly awake. But then I notice someone in the corner of room, who seems to be malicious (like a murderer/ burglar) . I go to turn to my OH to tell him but can't move a single muscle. I try to speak but make a hoarse kind of whimper. THEN I realise it's a dream and try to thrash around (still unable to actually move) until I eventually really wake up.
Any ideas? or at least has anyone else ever had similar? There is hope for us yet0 -

I'm sure Pukkamum will know more about this, but it sounds to me like sleep paralysis. I get it quite a lot, and it's terrifying!
Also - yay for the dream thread!! I've been having some right old wierd ones lately, even for me!
I always dream very vividly, but lately I've had a spate of horrible nightmares. I'll describe two because they have similar themes.
In the first, I'm living with my parents and my dog in a long white room. They tell me they're planning on dropping a nuclear bomb and killing everyone we know. I'm beyond upset and come up with a plan to save everyone, and I drive off in a big pick up truck with my dog. My plan to save the dog involves taking off his fur and sewing it back into a dog shape, as a decoy. I try to do this by biting off chunks of his fur, and end up giving up and wondering why I thought that would help. The dream ends with me really upset that I've harmed my lovely dog.
In the second dream I'm the last survivor of some awful disease, and I'm trying to find food to survive. I'm in constant fear of catching the disease and dying, which seems inevitable. Everything is dirty and disease-ridden. Oh and my lovely dog is there too - my only companion in an apocalypse!0
