There's a man I know through a work connection, I don't know him very well (but well enough to chat to if we bump into each other at the shops and the conversation is always easy and pleasant) I have also met his sister and we also always chat if we meet, which is not often.
The strange bit about all this is the dream. It was a very simple dream. In the dream, this man's sister was washing my hair. And that's it. (I found it funny in the dream state and it was so bizarre an idea that I actually woke up laughing.)
Why in the world would I dream this and what does it mean?
Having your hair washed indicates there are some attitudes or ways of thinking that are changing or should be changed, the people we meet in dreams have a personality trait or way of thinking we need to adopt or embrace in ourselves in order in this case to change a way of thinking or attitude.
Think about what personality trait comes to mind when you think about her.I don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.0 -
I have a strange question.
What does it mean when you can recall various dreams from the past? not sure going back how far. Over the past couple of days I've been getting random images popping into my head of various vivid dreams I have had over the years.

Oh, I love this thread! I have a recurring dream where I am running but it feels like I am in slow motion - no matter how much effort I put in, I can't seem to move very fast at all! I usually wake up before I get anywhere. I am usually running to something rather than away from something. Also, in a similar vein, I dream that I am trying to phone someone, but keep dialling the number wrong (again somewhat in slow motion) and have to start again. I've always been intrigued to know what this means.
Ooh,I have the running in slow motion dream too! Someone or something is chasing me,but my legs just won't move any faster,it's as though I am running through treacle.0 -
I had a dream last night that I had a baby boy. He had dark hair and was kicking his legs and smiling. I knew in the dream that he wasn't real and I was dreaming.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0

I had a very odd dream. The woman across the road, who never leaves the house, stares out of the window alot, had pulled my cat's teeth out! I didn't see her do it; someone told me it was her.

That's great news, pukkamum - and thanks again, very kind of you.
I'll try to remember what I posted before lol.
I had a dream one night that I was still living with my ex, and we heard noises one night downstairs. Then we heard people coming up the stairs - we were being burgled. They (a group of men and one woman) came into the bedroom, marched us downstairs and took most of our things - not just valuables like TV, computer, cameras etc but also personal sentimental items which would have little monetary value.
I was crying and begging them not to, but they ignored me. They loaded our stuff onto the back of a lorry outside. I was really heartbroken, and woke up feeling very shaken.
What can this mean?
If it's relevant, my ex was emotionally abusive towards me and I broke up with him 6 months ago. I had very disturbed sleep for a while, but haven't dreamt about him in ages. And this dream is new, it's only occurred once.
Thanks in advance xxxLife is a gift... and I intend to make the most of mine :A

Is there any meaning in this please?
This happens to me a lot too.
I was woken by a knock on my bedroom door one night a few years ago to very bad news (family bereavement). It was only after that that the 'knock on the door' dreams started, and it always upsets me.
I do wonder if the two are related.Life is a gift... and I intend to make the most of mine :A

I keep dreaming of a particular man I know-spending time laughing, him making a move and much much more...
What could that mean?
Ok this can be either of two things, it could be that this is simply a fantasy about this particular man.
However, if this isn't applicable in your waking life it could represent a new creative idea or project you are thinking of or are embarking on, perhaps a spark of a new idea that you are ignoring, the dream indicates you are more than capable of seeing the idea through to fruition.
If this is the case then the man you dream of could embody the trait you need to adopt or embrace in order to bring this idea to life, think about the trait you most associate him with.I don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.0 -

Oh it is applicable to my waking life toohence the wink and sticky out tongue lol I was just waiting for someone to come along with the blunt obvious meaning

1) Stepping on the brake pedal when I'm driving never quite stops the car. I can have my foot pressed hard to the floor and yet the car still creeps forward.
2) I'm trying to run but can't get going. It's a weird combination of feeling uncoordinated and having no energy, so I end up starting and stopping and just feeling exhausted.
I did also have a dream the other day in which I realised I was dreaming. Although I don't know if the realisation was from a dream within the dream, or if my unconscious mind really did become 'conscious' of it. Does that make sense?!
I can also confirm to everybody that the idea 'if you die in your dream you die in real life' is not true. I've died twice in my dreams (horribly in one case) and simply woken up - admittedly with a seriously racing heart!
Enjoy the lucid dream, play with it see if you can influence what is happening it really is great fun, I do it and can put myself in places I want to be.
The car not braking is indicative of feelings that you are heading toward an inevitable conflict, you are trying to extricate yourself from a set of circumstances that will lead to conflict but it isn't working, you need to face the circumstances head on.
Being unable to run or walk properly indicates a reluctance to move forward, perhaps you are trying to distance yourself from a situation you have found yourself in and are held back by anxiety and fear of failure, confluct and or embarrassment.I don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.0
