Dream analysis is back!

I had a v odd dream a couple of nights ago that seems to have stuck with me. I have a lot of strange, vivid dreams that I remember but this one felt different, sort of significant in some way.

My OH and I had gone for a chinese meal, only the restaurant was actually a bog-standard modern office. This didn't seem strange at the time. There were lots of long tables in the offices all set with half-eaten plates of food. The 'buffet' entailed us picking food from these plates. This seemed fine at the time too. The only people in the main office were myself and OH, and two people we'd gone with (don't know who they were though). There were some people in the side offices, working.

Just a side point... OH hates chinese food!

Last night,for the first time in ages,I had really bizarre and sometimes horrible dreams.

I had four dreams about Adders in one night,all in a row!Adders !!!!!!!

The first one I was at my 'parents' house (they split a few years ago) and mother and dad were there along with an old family friend.I was looking out the front window (no idea how old I was either) and spotted a snake coming out of the sloped front garden,which was just a mound of solid mud.It came out further and tried to bite a slow worm that was stuck in the mud,dad and his friend came to see what I was looking at then opened the front door.The snake increased in length and I shouted 'it's an Adder' before it launched it's top half towards the door where my dad and friend tried hitting it.It put it's fangs on the friend and he said 'no you don't' then my dad grabbed it,put it in a bag and threw it.

It landed in front of me and I was screaming and crying hitting it with a tiny plastic spade with my 'mother' next to me.After a while it got out of the bag and was hissing.I was in a state and my mother picked up and shoved the whole snake into her mouth.After a while she urged and spat the snake,which was now small and yellow (?) but she had bitten it's head off while it was in her mouth and kept it there with venom filling her mouth.

The second one I was walking to the shops and a random adder was on the road looking at me.

The third one,I was walking with ds and spotted an adder and then a nest,ds went to try and pick one up and I snatched him back,scared to death.I called to the three people I know who were further down the road to tell them there were Adders.They ran up with one on the phone to the RSPCA!One of the guys (who I adore..) said 'noo',then looked behind him,picked up a large stick and started poking the nest and tried getting one of the adders to bite the stick.When it did he said 'Christ,it is an adder'.End of dream.

Then the last one,very short but was a haunting image,I was looking at my ex and all of a sudden he held an adder up launching it with it's gaping mouth at my face.

Can you shed any light on that?

I had a horrid dream last week and am still thinking about it so would be really grateful if you could analyse it for me!

The dream probably doesn't sound too bad when written down, it was more the feelings I was having during it (generally feeling not good enough/ashamed) that made the dream so unpleasant.

Anyway, I dreamed I had bought our local village pub. ETA I was not running it as a pub, I was using it as our family home. I had been living there over a year (in the dream) with my 2 sons. It was New Years Eve 2013 and I was having a bit of a party as I do every year with my sons, siblings, brother in law and a school friend of mine.

The pub was exactly as it had been when a pub. I had not done anything at all to it. The tables and chairs were still all set out and the bar was there but the bar lights were switched off and there was no alcohol in it (I don't drink so that bit was quite likely!)

I was thinking about when to serve the food and everyone was milling around, chatting.

Then I suddenly started to see the pub/my house as the visitors were seeing it. I felt terribly embarrassed that I hadn't at least cleared the pub furniture out and made space for my sons.

My brother asked if he could have the TV on for Jools Holland's countdown to 2014 and I had to say we hadn't actually unpacked the TV yet even though we had lived there a year.

Brother in law asked if he could move one of the pub tables and chairs outside so they could make space on the floor to play a board game. So he put it outside and that room looked a lot clearer and better.

I was then going to tell my sister that I would buy a huge amount of magnolia emulsion in the new year and paint over the horrid purple and maroon walls.

That was the main and important part of the dream.

Then it went a bit weird and there were fully clothed shop mannequins sitting at all the pub tables and we had to carry them outside!

The whole dream is still freaking me out now.

Are you still interpreting dreams? If so, can you help me with the one I had last night

I always have weird and vivid dreams but have never had one where I have actually smelled a perfume too. Last night I dreamt I was at a huge garden party and here's the weird bit - I was at a post office counter and Dustin Hoffman was the postmaster. I asked if I could trim his eyebrows!!! Lol. Anyway, he said no and shut the blinds so I went out to join the party.

I kept spotting my Nan who died in 2008. She was just sitting calmly watching the people at the party but kept vanishing. Finally I saw her sitting in some seats and although I really wanted to talk to her, I was desperate for the loo and, so decided to find the toilets first. I couldn't find them so went back to my nan. She had vanished and nobody knew where she went. Suddenly I could smell a strong perfume which was familiar but I don't know where from. The smell was so strong that it woke me up and for a minute I could still smell it, then it disappeared. I went back to sleep but didn't see my nan again. This dream has really got me thinking. Have you any ideas?

Mine was mega weird last night!!!
It was break down of civilisation time!!!!!! There were mass floods (where I live has suffered with the recent floods this winter & I watched a programme of weather & flooding). I lived in a horrible high rise flat on an estate in London (im from london). The water was rising people were looting & breaking in to other peoples houses. It was like hurricane katrina but worse civil unrest.
My ex husband showed up & I was relievec, because he's a real macho type of man.
My ex boyfriend (recent) joined us, he has high cholesterol, in the dream he had a cholesterol attack (it was like a heart attack) & the cure was to throw ice on his bare skin, so I was trying to do that, while my ex husband was guarding from the window, the water was gushing past, & robbers & looters were outside going past.
I dont know who else was in it, there was lots more too it, it seemed to go on a long time, but thats all I remember.
I guess the water & flooding are easily explained! !!
