I used to have a dream where I couldn't move and was pinned to the floor, above me was a large black dragonfly trying to land on me. It never did manage to land on me as I wouldn't let it. Do these mean anything other than I have a strange imagination?
Hi dreaming about a crow can mean we are thinking about our attitude towards death.
The crow being in the cage suggests your feelings towards death, and that death makes you feel very anxious, you haven't been expressing your anxious feelings about death.
You setting the bird free indicate you either have freed yourself from these anxieties about death or you need to.
if it wasn't a crow merely a blackbird it is about hopes dreams and aspirations that you need to release to avoid feeling trapped.
The dragonfly dream indicates small irritations or problems that feel bigger than they are and are holding you back or you feel are holding you back.
However if it wasn't a crow merely a blackbird it can instead be about your goals, motivations and aspirations and the feelings you have about them.I don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.0 -
Hi all these dreams are linked, the helicopter crash is representative of a plan or project, maybe some new start that you are thinking about, the size of the aircraft represents the size of said plan or project, new start and it crashing indicates fears of how it will work out, it's not necessarily something you are directly involved in though.
The lift is about career or work progression, the lift suddenely is a fear that your career or some aspect of work is going to end or feels as though it is going backwards or falling through altogether perhaps career not progressing as you wish.
The plane that doesn't leave the airport is a plan or project not getting off the ground properly.
Thank you. As I have these dreams regularly, it will be interesting if I can use your analysis to get to the bottom of something. Work is rather stressful at the mo..I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Well thats interesting thankyou! I am a widow who has recently started dating again so I have been thinking about things and death recently. So that could make sense. And the thing that is holding me back may be the fact that where I work has gone into administration and i'm hanging on to see what happens, but its taking ages for any kind of plan to develop. I absolutely hate working their at the moment! so do feel annoyed its holding me back as I don't want to jump ship early and regret it.0

I have finally got one, never remember them but finally have remembered one....:D
It is a relatives face, all black around the face, all you can see is the eyes, massive wide open eyes and as it comes hurtling towards me it turns into a purple flower, jumping up and down, all the petal falls off to the floor and it ends with one droplet of water, then I woke up. the blackness and the huge eyes scared me:eek:
Any ideas?0 -

Hi when we dream about other peoples eyes we are thinking about an emotional or intimate connection with that person perhaps a mutual understanding, petals however represent a broken relationship or friendship even regret or guilt.I don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.0 -
I really enjoyed reading this thread.
I am constantly dreaming totally mad dreams.
I remembered once I dreamt that my primary school had a zoo and had King Kong in it and he escaped and was trying to kill me (I was young when I had the dream) and when I woke up the next day I was terrifed it was real haha.
Another totally mad dream I had and I can remember it though it was a good few months ago because it was so mental.
I'd recently watched Snow White and the Huntsman and in my dream Charlize Theron was trying to kill me, she was hunting everywhere for me an I was hiding out in a block of flats. Next second am running away and guiding a whole load of people to a new place and am saying the Earth has changed the land has split apart to make a new place ( a bit like what happened during the ice-age). But we aren't safe and have to live in caves deep down under the earth and can't go out your door as there is big huge dogs/wolves in the caves.
Am in the my new house (cave) with my mum and she comes in saying she been on a date and next minute a strange man comes downstairs like he been spending the night. I start talking to them saying my dog (my real life dog) had another seizure (she has had them in real life) and her medicine not working. The strange guy suggests heroin and I say no and then my mum suggest toad (like in family guy where they lick a toad and get high) and then am mad at them and say the vet said cocaine would work (i've never done any drugs so no idea what that's about)
The conversation changes and the man says to my mum thanks for paying for the meal (as if my mum would punch someone if they made her pay for first date) and could he borrow some money. My mum in the dream was like oh yeah sure acting all stupid and coy. I was fuming and told him to get out and grabbed him by his collar and launched him out the door. The weird thing is I was shouting my dad to come help me beat this guy up. Then the wolves/dogs come and attack the guy and we have to try get away. I think I woke up then.
I've had another dream where am in medieval times and a knight and riding a horse into war and keep slipping off it. Then in the same dream am trying to climb stairs and they keep breaking and am falling through the gaps but keep trying to get up them.
My recent weird dream was I was in work and then felt sick and fainted and had a seizure. Next minute am in a club and someone steals my bag with all my stuff in and am really upset.
I think I need to stop having cheese before bed lol.0 -
Mine are getting more bizzare!
My daughter was younger, still a teen & we were living in a house we lived in when my daughter was a baby, I lived there with my first husband. But in the dream I was living there when she was a late teen & I had just taken my second husband back (we had a lot of breakups in the first half of our marriage, we are divorced now) with his son, my stepson. We were doing renovations (we always seemed to be at DIY & decorating!) & my ex had removed the lower part of the wall between us & the neighbours. The neighbours weren't the old couple who lived beside me in that house, but an old couple who were my neighbours in another home, where we lived in my daughters early teens. Anyway looking through the gap the lady neighbour was walking away & in the dream she was obese, like those huge Americans you see who can barely walk. Though the neighbours weren't giving out about the wall not being build back up quickly, I could tell they were annoyed.
I was worried about bailiff (I've never had the bailiffs call honestly), but in my dream I was expecting them & worried they would gain access & take my stuff.
I think the bailiffs were connected to my ex & I wasnt sure if I had done the right thing having him back with all the bother he was bringing!
In my dream I came back into the house & he had locked up & he'd removed the yale lock & used a bit of wood & a couple of screws to fix the door to the frame, I was ok with this, I wasn't angry, even though I had this fear of bailiffs. I unscrewed the screws & entered the house, I was trying to fit the yale lock in the door myself, it had a funny screw, like the ones you get in ikea flatpacks. Also the door & yale lock & the funny screw had white emulsion on them & I wasnt very happy with that. That it was emulsion rather than gloss & shouldn't have been on the lock & screw.
Then & this is where the dream got horrible. I saw a cockroach (I have a real fear of them!!!!), two cats I used to have (my ex husband took them with him when we seperated), started eating the cockroachs & I was relieved about this. My daughter & stepson & I were in the kitchen & I realised it was just a few cockroaches, there were loads & they were coming down the middle of that wall that had the bottom removed.
Then I woke up!!!
Shall I get the men in white coats to come & get me!!!!!0 -
Great thread Pukkamum..
I mostly don't remember my dreams, only that they were weird, except if they scare me, which they often do.
Last night however I had a dream quite like I've never had before.
I'd moved back to a house that I'd lived in over 30 years ago (it's since been demolished) it had 2 rooms downstairs and a tiny kitchen..outside attached to the house was an outhouse, very large with a bed in it but the floor was very dirty. I was sweeping all the dust and dirt out of it then decided to renovate the house..I had the wall knocked down between the house and the outhouse and then extended the kitchen, making it a large kitchen diner, but also built another wall into the old outhouse to make a small bedroom complete with en-suite with a door leading to it off the kitchen/diner, for my mum to sleep in when she visits (my mum's been dead 3 years) it looked beautiful when finished..oh also I made friends very quickly with one of the neighbours who was a young woman with 2 young children...it was so vivid and real.
I can't quite see what sense you'll make out of this but it'll be very interesting to read..0 -
I dreamt that I was lost and walking along a path up a hill trying to get home. The path became trees that I was climbing up. Then as I climbed further up, the trees became metal pipes, like in a factory. I looked around and I was in a chemical plant or refinery and couldn't get back out. I couldn't escape, but was somehow forced into this place and was soaked in chemicals which made me grow wings. I took off and flew out of the open side of the building, having a bit of trouble getting out without hitting the roof. I flew over a grassy plain with woods andhills in the distance. I landed near a village of tents in a group of people, and I was an exotically coloured butterfly. I was worried that someone would tread on me, but I heard someone remark on what a beautiful butterfly I was.
