Glad the thread is back. I found it interesting.
I have three reoccurring dreams. Two that I would like analysed as I dream them so often.
Dream number 1. Flying. I'm very often standing in an exposed place such as a park or car park and I need to go somewhere so I fly. Occasionally my kids are with me (but they are young). I just hold on to them and we fly off. The dream always ends before we get there though.
Dream number 2. Walking beside a river bank and the ground starts to crumble under my feet and I begin to fall in. I never fall in though as the dream stops before I hit the water. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I'd love to know what the recurring theme in my dream means. I often dream of packing, its usually in different places and for different reasons but the packing is neverending I keep finding more and more things to pack and I'm conscious that I need to leave the place soon but am anxious about leaving anything behind. I feel exhausted when I wake up0

Really pleased to see this thread back,i had a very odd one a couple of nights ago and was only thinking I wish I could get some interpretation lol.
Anyway the dream:
I was pregnant and told to expect a boy (might be useful to say now that my family is complete and I do not want or will ever have more children) then I went into labour and gave birth to a girl followed by another girl,it was twins.
I said to my husband that he must go quickly and exchange all of the blue clothes we had bought for pink ones which he did.
The next thing we were walking with the babies,we each had one in a sling and we were walking over a bridge but the railing on the bridge had broken and I was panicking,we made it over the bridge safely and my husband said 'It's okay, you wont be scared next time it's just because it was the first time you have done it in ages'.
I looked down at the baby in my sling and announced I was going to call her Emily,no offence to anyone who loves the name but it is not one I would ever choose,i told my husband he was welcome to name the other baby as I had chosen Emily then I woke up.
Any insight? Thanks0 -
Ok. I have recurring dreams. I'm either being chased or in a scary situation and I try to run and I'm going through the motions but can't move I switch lights on and off and the switch doesn't work. I scream only no sound comes out. Some of the time I seem to subconsciously? Realise I'm dreaming but whether it is in the dream that I think I'm dreaming or RL I don't know. I would love to know what this means as I often wake up upset.GE 36 *MFD may 2043

I have a few recurring themes to my dreams that I dream about frequently.
The first is that I need to go to the toilet, not desperately but I'm looking for a toilet. Anyway, when I find the toilets, wherever I am, it's always a huge room with lots of cubicles but all of the toilets are clogged and overflowing and generally a bit disgusting...
The second is that I'll be walking along somewhere when I start running and jumping, and suddenly I'm jumping really high, like I'm bouncing like Tigger but really really high. I panic when I realise I'm jumping so high but then I realise it's ok and quite fun, but it's always a bit scary when I'm coming back down to earth.
And the last one revolves around lifts, as in elevators. Sometimes I have to squeeze myself into a lift that's really small, sometimes I'll be in a sort of glass lift that will all of a sudden become just a platform with a rail around it. Sometimes the lift will not stop at the right floor, so I have to go up and down for ages, stopping at random floors, before I can get off at the right floor. Often when the lift is just a platform, it doesn't go up and down in a lift shaft but sort of flies around the building randomly, and I have to hold on.
The second two seem quite similar, in a kind of lack of control way, but I don't know if that's right.0 -
I have a bit of a recurring subject, if you wouldn't mind
The last couple of nights I have been dreaming of a lake. I can be travelling along, by any means, car/train/walking etc. and pass the most gorgeous, still, blue lake. It's the most lovely colour blue and is surrounded by trees. There aren't any animals by it or anything though.
I'm never just standing by it, I'm always travelling past.Weight Loss3lb Lost32lb To Go:xmassmile 8 Week Christmas Cracker SW Challenge :xmassmile3lb/12lb0 -

Can I jump in with one? I'm just remembering my weird ones for you!
I was walking in a lovely wood when I came across a lake. It was all very calm. I met Hermione Granger (yes, from Harry Potter) at the side of the lake and asked her why she'd shaved her beard off, lol.
We then went flying over the lake. Not across it, just leisurely catching updrafts and flying on the wind up, down, roundabout. When we landed a woman told us we shouldn't do that there as it was dangerous (implying it was ok elsewhere?).
I love dreams.
This dream is a lovely positive one.
When we fly easily in dreams in our waking life we are feeling released from some obligation or limitations that were previously holding us back and weighing us down.
Any famous person you meet embodies aspects of your own personality that you respect and admire, perhaps its a new talent or a part of your personality you are developing or recognising. Whatever quality you must associate with the famous person is the quality you are recognising in yourself, the fact you asked Hermione about her beard, which represents an individualistic attitude suggests this is the quality you are developing and enjoying.
Water is always indicative of our emotions, the calm lake means you are emotionally calm.
The woman who tells you not to fly there is you, is there a part of you resisting the change or personality aspect. It may just be your subconcious telling you to slow down a little be slightly more cautious.I don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.0 -
Oh, I love this thread! I have a recurring dream where I am running but it feels like I am in slow motion - no matter how much effort I put in, I can't seem to move very fast at all! I usually wake up before I get anywhere. I am usually running to something rather than away from something. Also, in a similar vein, I dream that I am trying to phone someone, but keep dialling the number wrong (again somewhat in slow motion) and have to start again. I've always been intrigued to know what this means.0

I don't often remember dreams, this one sounds dead simple - is it?
Sunday I was driving my sister & niece a 80 mile round trip.
Saturday night I dreamt that the place we actually had to go was Inverness in Scotland & I was trying to explain to my sister is was too far.
Cars indicate our movement through life, you being the driver indicates feelings of independance of being in control.
Your passengers are people you feel responsibility for, perhaps people you try and please or whose needs you put before your own.
When you insist that the journey to scotland is too far it is your subconcious telling you that you need to limit how much you do to please these passengers, that you feel they sometimes ask too much of you.I don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.0 -
I wake up quite often to what I think is the door knocking loudly, it is a dream but really startles me awake
Is there any meaning in this please?0
