Nokia N95 - best deals?

login_details, you are of course right that the Voda deal would not be right for anyone wanting to substitute their internet line for the N95.
In this case, the cheapest I could find would be T-Mobile Flext 35, 500 mins/800 sms with Web n Walk Plus working out at £237 for the year on a 12 months contract after cashback (approx £19 a month or £47,50 direct debit). This would give you 3GB allowance per month, but you cannot make internet phone calls. If you need the use of internet telephony you'd need to upgrade to Web n Walk Max which i could not find a cashback deal for.
I got the above deal info from onecompare.com, moneysupermarket.com also lists Web n Walk, but doesn't mention Plus even for the higher priced deals, unless it's hidden under the details section.
H.
I'm on £25/month Flext + the base £7.50/month web+walk where the fair use policy allows about 1GB data per month which I find OK. I've only gone over 1GB once (due to streaming Big Bro TV - sad I know but I've got to have my daily fix of the twins:p ) - the thing is that if you take the p!ss out of the fair use policy T-mobile (unlike other operators) don't charge you for every KB you use over and above the 1GB - they may send you a warning and if you persist they'll reduce your download speed. Also (I know it's against their fair use policy) I haven't had any problems using Truephone & Fring for VoIP.
What gets me is Vodafone advertising on TV saying they've opened up the internet to all when in reality their data packages are very restrictive - many people will be taken in by the adverts only to find big data bills coming through their letterbox:mad:0 -
Went into vodafone today.. Asked them to match the deal 6mths@£13.50 & 12mths@£27.00 - But with a free (lol) N95.. 300mins, 100 txt.
They said they dont do half price tariffs.. and the only time the N95 is free, is with a £40pm contract for 18mths!0 -

It really does go to show just how good a deal we got, pity about voda's customer service thoughThe worst CS that I have experienced yet:mad:
Money saving newbie but learning fast:D0 -
Well, I'm leaning more towards T-Mobile with inclusive Web 'n Walk, the only thing that's a bit annoying is that they don't have a landline number (well not one that I could find), only an 0845 or mobile number. If there's one thing I hate it's having to pay outrageously for Customer Services when not in contract. Cheers to Voda for having a freephone number.
You can get T-Mobile with the base Web 'n Walk on 12 months free with cashback.
BTW, for those that might be interested, £15 for an unlock code after 1 month on T-Mobile, I guess that removes the negative there. Only it won't be much use if you're going on hols within one month of joiningKnow me for who I am, not for who I say I am.0 -

If the cost isn't too much of an issue then I would go for a Web and Walk deal because it is certainly the best tariff out there. For me cost was more of an issue and this Vodafone deal was perfect for me really.
On another note, how many months into my contract can I upgrade my handset with Vodafone?0 -

my thought was because you pay extra for the "tv" the data charges don't apply then..0 -

Call the number on their site, I called 3 times and got a different offer each time. The last guy was definitely open to a bit of haggling....0 -
Phoned Orange Retentions and got the following deal:
£69.99 for N95
12 month contract
£20/month
500 minutes and 100 texts0 -
Asked o2 for my pac, and retentions offered me:
N95 - Normally £89.99, down to £59.99
600mins - 500txts
Unlimited o2 (Max usage 22000 mins) Free calls to o2 mobiles
18mths @ £35
Total = £689.99
Pretty good deal, but way too expensive for me.
Rung Vodafone, first woman was the coldest cs person I have spoken to.. "Ello, vodafone..".... "Yer, wot phone dy'want?" Lol you get the idea. Wouldnt budge for any deal.. Just offered what was on the site.
A man answered next:
N95 @ £150
300mins - 100txts
6mths @ £12.50 (?)
12mths @ £25.00 (I dont know where he got these prices from? As it is £27pm on the site.. and £27pm another time I called!)
Total = £525
Told him I was offered 12mths @ £27 & 6mths @ £13.50 a few weeks ago. With a handset charge of £50. Said I couldnt remember who I spoke to.. Went to find out more, but his manager was in a meeting, and said he will call me tomorrow morning! Hoping they will give in, as I have my pac code ready.
What is wrong with these vodafone cs people? They all seem to have different prices, and they speak like they know what they're actually talking about!Really wish I took this deal earlier!
Got my heart set on an N95 now, just hoping I dont take them up on a bad deal!
