As I understand it, a lot of retentions offers are based on usage. IE if you use the phone a lot, earning o2 a lot of £££ they'll be a little more flexible. Unfortunately it sounds as if that's not you, so you could get naff all... I moved to voda...

Bah! I wasn't holding out much hope to be honest. Looks like I best wait till the phone comes down in price naturally. The only problem is, that could be months away, as late as Christmas

Phoned up O2 today and asked for my PAC Code (retentions number on sayno0870 site). Anyway, the guy went 'why are you leaving' and i said 'Orange offered me the N95 for free on a 12 month contract for £30 a month with 300 minutes and 400 texts' (which was lies). He then offered me:

    12 month contract
    Free Phone
    400 minutes
    1000 texts
    Memory Card
    £30 a month

    I went, 'alright then' :rotfl:

Got the same deal but he wouldn't budge on an 18 month contract, SO easy, just call 08000288151, just said that I was in town and Orange offered me 400 anytime/network mins, 750 texts, free n95, 18 month contract, free memory card. Said wait a minute and then offered me the same as you

Phoned today after receiveing a leaflet through the door, free nokia N95, 225 minutes and 100 texts a month, 6 months at £12.50, thereafter £25

Was originally told the phone would cost me £150, but I politely pointed out that the leaflet stated free N95 on all price plans, she went to talk to her supervisor and came back to explain that it was a price error, which they are aware of but would honour it

Very pleased with the deal and it will be delivered tomorrow

Is that on a 12 or 18 month contract?

Do u think o2 would go any lower than £30 ?

All i want on the upgrade is 150 mins / 300 text, max , if that.

    I would pay £20-25 a month.

I just spoke to some one at vodafone who will give me a decent deal.

I need my pac number though, so just phoned up o2 and they will send pac via text wthin 48 hours, and 'steve' from vodafone will phone me tomorow 11am to wrap up the deal once i have the pac to give him.

This is becuase i wished to stay on the same number. He recons the number cant be switched over to my old number once i have the phone/new contract...

IS this correct ? If not il just fone up and order it standard then do the pac stuff when it arrives.

just dont wana miss out on the deal.

Thanks very much :) Got this deal! Mentioned the leaflet.. Man said he knew what one I was on about. But I got 200? / 225? mins (Must confirm this as I've forgotton lol), 100 txts, plus family of 4.. but mine was £27pm with 6mths half price. Got the phone here now.. Very nice features.. With a few downloads, I could be messing around with it all day! One thing i must say, for such an expensive handset it has some stupid problems... Like the media side of the slider always opens in my pocket! Just checked this second, and it was open! Slider is stupidly cheap feeling.. unlike the sony ericsson ones. Just ordered a crystal clear case off ebay, but I really cant see this phone lasting 18 months! The screen sits a few millimeteres in the casing.. It would have made so much sense to add a plastic screen to protect the lcd screen. The basic 512mb card is nowhere near enough for the photos file sizes.. The sat nav doesnt come close to a tomtom, and I probably wouldnt trust it on long range journeys!

Another thing I must say, with vodafone, remember to cancel the insurance, and data bundles, as they are automatically renewed.
