    I can confirm I've read in a few places that Voda require the PAC at the time of registration rather than after connection.

    Spoken to a lot of people who took T-Mobile over Voda for data as being better value for money. I'm about to join them hehe and can't wait to get away from the lappy - being able to check mail etc whilst sitting on the bus or waiting for the doctor will make somuch difference.

    Vodafone refused to budge when put through to their cancellation department. So I sent in my notice to cancel my contract on Monday.

    Today a guy called me and asked why I was cancelling. I told him I could get the phone for free on a one year contract with 500 mins and 250 texts per month (i.e. the Mobilephonesdirect offer). I said that I saw this online but could not remember who it was through. He said that he would give me the phone for free on a 12 month deal on my current tariff (200 mins a month, 500 texts, free weekend calls). So I took it.

    Tried to get other stuff, mentioning that I heard the battery was a bit poor and the best he could do was to chuck in an in car charger. Still, I'm quite happy.

    I called Vodafone a few days ago and haggled my !!! off and got this deal:
    * Nokia N95 £50
    * 500 mins and 100 txts per month
    * 12 months x £35 - 2 months half price
    * 1 months free insurance (£6.95 p/m thereafter unless you cancel)
    * 1 months free Internet access (£7.50 p/m thereafter unless you cancel)
    * Vodafone Stop the Clock - only pay for the first 3 mins of a call off peak, 3 mins deducted from allowance
    * Vodafone Passport - calls whilst abroad charged at 75p connection fee and the rest is taken out of your allowance
    * 512MB memory card - she wouldn't give me the 1GB!
    * Free Bluetooth Headset
    * In-car charger and Free delivery charge
    * Free Extra PAYG sim
    plus if i took 2nd SIM card for £10 p/m which can be canceled giving 30 days notice in writing
    i would get a further 2 months half price.
    Somethings i forgot to do, but should have is Recommend a Friend £50 and try get a Free Carry Case as the phone comes with no protection.

    Thats £350 on a 12 month contract not bad for a 40 min haggling session. :p
    Got the phone now so might get it even cheaper with the old call cancellation dept with I've found a cheaper deal thing.

    Note: phone is great has nice feature but poor battery life :(

    My battery can last two days with BT always on and TomTom for an hour each day - can't complaint really. I did turn off 3G as suggested by Mark.

    My phone never crashed - first thing I did when I got my phone was having it debranded!

    My only complaint is the wobbly slider - knowing that Nokia hasn't resolved this problem yet, and I would most likely to get another wobbly one if I ask for an exchange, I followed the web's guidance to diy-fix it.

    Hi,
    I upgraded in June on O2 and got a FREE Nokia N95, 1Gb SD card (with preloaded GPRS maps), 800 mins (anytime xnetwork), 200 texts, plus O2 long weekends (FREE calls Sat, Sun, Mon to any network anywhere in the UK) for £35pm. Calls to 08xx included in inclusive minutes.

    Prior to my upgrade I was on a really old tariff some 5 years old. As I had heard people were making international calls with their inclusive minutes, I asked if 08xx numbers would be included? The kind lady said they were no longer included on new contracts or upgrades (after April?) but she would put me on an older tariff so they would be included! She kindly put me on a Q1 tariff as opposed to the new Q2 tariffs. I have been using an 0844 access number to make calls to India and America (land line and mobile) for free all of July!! I check my unbilled calls everynight, heres a snippet:

    0844xxxxxxxx Off Peak. 50min 15secs 0.000 Free
    0844xxxxxxxx Peak. 43mins 21secs 0.000 Free
    0844xxxxxxxx Off Peak. 22mins 19secs 0.000 Free
    0844xxxxxxxx Off Peak. 18mins 40secs 0.000 Free
    0844xxxxxxxx Off Peak. 16mins 09secs 0.000 Free

    I've blanked the 0844 access number above as i'm not sure if i'm allowed to mention it.

    Very please with my O2 upgrade and price :rotfl:

    o2 are idiots.

    they told me they wont do upgrade on the n95 for anything less than £50 per month if i want it free.

    If i want to pay less per month, the phone will be 180 minimum.
