  • Well I came back from Asd@ last night and had to have a massive fight with the fridge and freezer as I got loads of yellow sticker bargains which has made our March shopping be £48.12 with only bread and milk top up needed. Just means that we will be having s lot of carrot and sweed as the pre cut packets were reduced to 6p! I shoved about 4 in the freezer and even though they do not freeze great, you do not notice it when they go in the slow cooker all day. So back to square 1 but it means I can hang out here again :)

Hmm, according to my spreadsheet, I should have had 2 pots of lemon juice in the freezer, but I couldn't find them - so I used up the lime juice on the pancakes instead last night and going to have the rest of the pancakes today so got the orange juice out the freezer this morning - these were leftover from fruit I had ages back which were going to go in drizzle cakes, but tasted fine on pancakes. I shouldn't be having these acidic fruits but I couldn't resist having pancakes.. lovely too! Along with the soya milk that I had frozen in a pancake portion amount, that's 3 pots out the freezer.

Nothing going in the freezer at all and hasn't for a while - I have so much space :D Going to defrost it within the next week and check what's in there again and maybe throw a few bits of HG veg that have been in there too long.

Life has been a bit hectic so have forgotten to post. I am pleased that I am starting to see more room in my freezers than I could at the start of this.

In: 4 hot cross buns, 4 points of milk. 2 chopped peppers
Out: 3 hot cross buns, 1 portion of risotto, 1 portion of pasta bake, 1 breaded fish portion, 1 portion lentil bolognese, 2 bread cakes, half a loaf of bread.

    Kirri well done.

I have given up cakes, sweets, chocolate, icecream and crisps for lent.

    :T

I was thinking of doing the same but the day before I ate a whole 100g bar of the new G&Black's milk choc orange and today I've eaten a whopping slice of coffee & walnut cake. :o (and I have another portion needs eating tomorrow). I can't even give it up for health...

wondering whether to try for the rest of lent.. We should have had a lent challenge on the thread!
