Half the lamb ended up on pizza, rest going into pasta tonight.
Out: spaghetti, thyme

I've used the last of the baking powder with plain flour instead of self-raising flour and worked a treat. Won't bother buying selfraising flour now, just get more baking powder.It's good for the soul to walk with your soles on the soil.1 -
OUT: Yesterday, Pork chop, and spotted the haggis, fetched 1 out to defrost for today, had a senior moment/craving for lamb last night, so fetched a quarter of a shoulder out to defrost, totally forgot the haggis.
IN: Portion of haggis with swede and potato mash, and a cooked lamb shoulder with gravy juices.Do I need it or just want it.0 -
I disappeared for a bit but I'm back on track again.
I'm going to try and make everything go further, stretch things more, waste nothing and keep shopping to a minimum - that's shopping in all its forms.
We have been renovating/updating our house since we moved here in 2006, it's been quite a large project (house plus quite a lot of acreage) but I can see just another two years to the finish line.
So it's time to draw in the horns, focus on what is needed and try to finish the job.

Out:- 3 pieces breast of lamb, some left over lamb roast, ice cream
Todays meals are
L -tin of soup for me, a few biscuits, DH egg on toast, a few biscuits
D - a sort of soup x casserole based on lamb (like a thick scotch broth) with a few dumplings to fill DH as he has empty legs - done in the slow cooker. Jelly and ice-cream
Nothing has been added to my new shopping list
Oops - almost forgot, found a pk of chicken livers in the freezer so made pate as I had everything else, enough for a couple of days and now in fridge setting.2 -
In: 0 - although once cooled tonights tagine will be frozen but that will probably be tomorrow
Out: chicken breasts; previously prepped butternut squash cubes

Got a box of l1dl £1.50 fruit&veg yesterday, for a start: raspberry&lime traybake, portioned and frozen.
Cooling down this morning a boiled gammon to portion and freeze after work.It's good for the soul to walk with your soles on the soil.1 -

Out: sausages for breakfast tomorrow and to make scotch eggs for lunch on Monday; coq au vin for dinner tomorrow evening
