@zafiro1984 - I bought my goat online from Chestnut Meats.  There are other suppliers as well but that was the first one I came across so ordered some to try and it's very good.
I also bought a Kg of mutton which has a nice flavour but as you would expect it's very fatty!

joedenise  Thanks that's great, I'll look chestnut meats up, I tend to buy things by the carcass (except beef which we don't eat) so would have enough freezer space.
I much prefer mutton to lamb, I love the flavour. You are right about the fat but I tend to slow cook it, let it go cold and take the fat off. I have a like minded friend and we do swaps, mutton for my free range bronze or Norfolk black turkeys. Old fashioned bartering works well around here.

Goat:- do you produce your own or do you buy it?  I love goat meat but never seem to be able to source it.

https://cabrito.co.uk/ do goat meat online - they sometimes do special offers. I've used them, they're not cheap but the meat is good and the delivery is reliable

Out: pork - made a casserole for tea and it will do lunch tomorrow when turned into soup.

DH has decided what our 'special Sunday tea' will be  tomorrow, so need to get out:
A few chicken livers to make pate, 4 x mutton chops, and he wants a 'death by chocolate' cake, - yes, surprisingly, I  have all the ingredients to make that as well.

Spaces are starting to appear in the freezers which is good because in a couple of months I'll start to fill them with veggies from the plot.
