out: venison haunch. It's been in the freezer since early last year, I've not used it because it is quite large and there is only the two of us. I think most of it will end up back in the freezer once cooked. I'm doing a pulled venison sort of dish with it.
Quite a few of you seem to be gadget freaks, so my question is 'What's your weirdest gadget'?
Mine is an old water bath from a laboratory which is temperature controlled. I use it to do Sous Vide. it must be at least 40yrs old. I bought it new and took it with me when I retired which was almost 20 yrs ago.1 -
I had to go g00gle both water bath and sous vide. That is proper next level cooking! I don't have any weird gadgets, but i do have a trusty small knife with which i can take on the next apocalypse or zombie invasion, it has never let me down.
In (yesterday): gravy granules, rice pudding, baked beans.
Out: stock cube and herbs for the lamb in slow cooker.It's good for the soul to walk with your soles on the soil.2 -
