I've been cleaning the kitchen today, moving things around and putting things away. It's taken me most of the afternoon but looks better. Next time we move I'm going to have a smaller kitchen, the problem with too many work surfaces is that it becomes a dumping ground for paperwork/recipe books/dog leads/leaving the casserole dishes out which are heavy and much much more. The pantry now looks full, not with food, but with all my cooking things - most of which are not really required but my DH is a gadget freak so I have to use them when he's around. I find that the simpler things are, the easier they are to use and usually require less cleaning afterwards. Who needs an electric mandolin which also cuts potatoes into chips when a knife will do!!!! - moan over1 -
