    out: 2 x venison steaks

Then the our daughter came to visit and went home with:-
12 sausages, bacon, 2 x chicken beasts, 6 x salmon steaks, 4 x trout, smoked salmon, venison mince, 2 x venison steaks, sirloin steak, 4 x mutton chops, 8 x jumbo uncooked tiger prawns, 4 x turkey thighs, pheasant pieces and a tray of eggs.
It's the sort of thing my mother used to do except in those days it was tinned fruit, tinned salmon, tinned ham or spam, tinned corned beef, I can't remember what else but I knew it was all very welcome. daughter lives by herself so it should help and last for a while.

Its pastry dusted with sugar with loads of currants in … they used to make it with the scraps leftover from a batch of pies, popped into the oven bottom whilst the pies were baking
