I am a lurker when it comes to this thread. I am planning on joining in after the winter. At this time of year we always stock up incase we get snowed in, like we do most years. After the winter has gone, I will be trying to run down everything in the cupboard and freezer. I will of course only be buying items on my list.
Will be back in the spring0 -
In: 2 x salmon steak, 2 x smoked haddock, 2 x cod fillets.
Out: fish pie and celery soup.0 -

Really?? I read that the tube thing you have to swallow is almost a centimetre wide _pale_ I can't imagine laying there awake while they pass that through my insides..
Frugal start to the year - £12.80 spend on veg box stuff, due at the weekend. On bare minimum food ordering as really can't afford to spend unless it's really necessary, but as there's not much I can eat it makes it a bit easier!
Going to have a clear out in the next few days of any really old stuff, not that there is much of that now.0 -

Kirri I have had three endoscopies and coped ok in spite of my severe anxiety . You have spray on the back of the throat and lie on your side for the procedure. I opted for the sedation and don't remember much after that! Might be worth considering.0

Unexpected visitors today so glad I'd taken a large mince out yesterday intended for a batch cook up! The roast beef planned for today will be tomorrow now.
Out: 3 garlic breads, tub of Clover, pk of YS pancakes (for lasagne).
In: 2 tubs of roasted turkey
Lunch was HM lasagne, garlic bread (the ones reduced to 50p for a 3pk in Asda freezer section), YS Ranch salad @ 9p.
Tea was a Turkey and HM bread sauce toasted sandwich. Never tried this combo before and was delish.
Looking forward to a full roast tomorrow as have some lovely YS veg that I'm eager to make use of.AUGUST GROCERY CHALLENGE £115.93/ £250

3... I definitely could never do it without sedation! but read you have to swallow it before you get the sedation and it's that bit I would be dreading the most.. doesn't it make you gag? I just don't think I can bear it, I get faint/nauseous at the thought of a blood test even
Losing my appetite by the second lol. Despite that I've just cooked up 6 trays of roast root veg from the allotment. Had some for dinner with a slice of leftover nut roast so totally free dinner. Will put the other portions of cooked veg in the freezer and use over the next week or so. Got about another 6 trays worth to cook/freeze tomorrow. Still some more in the ground I might be able to salvage if the weather stays mild.0 -
