  • Did manage to get the biryani out for last night but nothing with it as had a job which entailed a meal. Finished jar of paste for lunch so looking ofr something today, last 2 slices of bread so will have to make some, refused to let myself buy a loaf yesterday but did buy chopped onions and veg on offer from Tesco so they in freezers but still got more fresh veg to use today so planning on getting a chicken portion out and maybe use some orzo or cous cous, will also get a portion of cake which I made and put in the other day.

  • Had hm butter chicken portion from freezer last night and have taken out a cauliflower curry for tonight, had jkt pots last 2 nights so may have chips with the curry. Made big pan of braised leeks yesterday, first time I have made them (why?) and they were lovely. Took chunks of hm cake out, 1 last night and the other 2 today. Made cheese and onion rolls yesterday so 4 of them in freezer (no room for more) but very nice, had 2 small ones for lunch yesterday with Dolchetta? cheese so will use that up tomorrow with pasta. Hospital procedure today so has to be easy.

  • Had taken out cauliflower curry to have after hospital, som called to get me some chips to go with but they were still closed so a portion out of freezer. Still on for cheesy pasta tonight, found recipe with leeks in it so that will finish them off, also finish off some lettuce in fridge and can use some from garden if not enough. Really looking forward to cooking something tomorrow, not just pinging, only me so worlds my oyster but I think I will have some chops.

  • Took out a Mexican style chicken portion yesterday abd added last of Xmas brussels and chestnuts plus a few peas so they were all out of freezers. Tool out bag of chickpeas (I buy dried and then batch cook and portion up as a tim is too many for one) so will make chickpea and tuna patties for today to have with some of the hm cheese and onion rolls I made and froze last week.

Used a packet of chipolatas with garden salad and potatoes on Saturday and 2 burgers from the freezer to go with the new potatoes, peas and courgettes from the garden yesterday. Almost free!
