  • I fished out a chicken roll out of freezer, had in foil from when my Canadian visitors came but did not use, also took some of the rice out which neighbour gave me, not sure about the veggies yet probably peas although I do have a mini corn. Determined to eat more from freezer this week even though I had plans for cooking out of freezer which means more ready meals going in so will use up the already made ones, have some quiche I made a while ago and plenty of curry and rice.
  • Few bits of chicken roll left so will finish them, taken 2 hot dog sausages out so will have them tonight but not sure with what. Am taking young neighbour out for a drive today so we may call for a KFried Chick. for lunch which will change everything.

We had the other pair of YS grill-steaks in ciabbata buns from the freezer, with a simple salad for supper. Must keep going with courgettes so I will probably make fridge soup and fritters and use up the packet of feta that needs using

Out for lunch tomorrow - carvery - so will no doubt bring some veg home so may not get anything out of freezers tomorrow. Not really going as well as it should is it?

Have some gammon left from yesterday and loads of salad stuff to use, got carrots, swede, celery to use up, so will chop and freeze into portions, mirepoix, for the basis of many things.
Do I need it or just want it.
  • Mince and veg from freezer plus a small portion of tomatoey liquid which was too much to use at the time gone into SC with some lentils and garden veg. Made a point of adding lots of different herbs/spices. Have told myself I must start using them up and just using them, cumin/turmeric/oregano etc etc as I have tended to stick to just s & p and I know the others add so much extra to a dish.
