OUT, something, think it was spinach, ricotta, mushrooms, with the remaining hassleback chicken breast, also a pack of stewing beef to throw in s/c for later.
IN nothing, have dehydrated lemons and peppers, just no way they will go into freezers. I only count freezer stock.
Do I need it or just want it.

Searched around the freezers to make a quick soup this lunchtime. Out came turkey stock made from a carcass, some turkey 'juice' from a roast I did some time ago, cooked venison mince, I used the pulse button on the food processor to chop up 2 carrots, some celery, and a couple of leeks, added barley and lentils plus a bit of spice. Soup ready in 40mins and tasted fine.
Now I need to have another search around for something for dinner - the dessert may be a challenge!!

I'm going to try this, I have a full freezer, and a full food cupboard, also stuff in the fridge. Since my DH passed away two and a half years ago I now live alone, so probably have enough to last for at least a month, if not more. I'm trying to avoid going to the shops this month if I can, and use up what I have, although I do need to get some flowers to take to my mum’s grave for her birthday next week, so will have to go to the shops then. I’m going to do a full inventory sometime in the next couple of days, so I can see exactly what I have.

    Nothing in the freezers
Out: Bread for lunch as I bought some bacon at a farmers market this morning - Bacon sandwiches

Dinner, Yesterday made stock from an uncooked turkey back, I jointed it just before Christmas (well I actually jointed 17) I tend to leave more meat on the carcass than a butcher as I make pies etc from the meat once the stock has been made.
I've just got in the oven cooking a puff pastry piece on which is the said turkey plus bit of Serrano ham, peas, toms, onions cream etc. The stock, now reduced, will go in the freezer as the basis for soups. Easy pudding, - leftover cinnamon ice-cream I made this Christmas.

Hi, not posted for awhile. Not been able to get started into this challenge nor the New Year very well due to other "problems". Anyway, just thought I would say thanks for any assistance received last year regarding my challenge on this thread. Not sure when, or if I'll be back, so good luck everybody with your aims.

So I made a list of everything in my cupboards, freezer and fridge and I have enough for about 28 meals. Also today I took out of the freezer 500g of minced beef (which I got from Mr M's before Christmas, YS for 9p!), and made a lasagne and a shepherd's pie. I had one portion of shepherd's pie for my dinner tonight, with some beans which I had leftover in the fridge, and then divided the rest up for the freezer, so I now have 7 home-made ready meals as well.
