Still eating out of the fridge, made ham and green pea soup, parsnip and squash but didn't have enough parsnips so added a carrot as well - tasted ok, cooked some sausages for lunch and will add the leftover sausages to veg and bean soup tomorrow. Used up nearly all the cheese in cauliflower cheese, used rashers of bacon to wrap around chestnut, sausagemeat and apricot stuffing which I had in the small kitchen freezer - that's tea sorted tonight.
Had some mulled wine left over from yesterday so turning it into a sauce for some berries and apples also from the small 'leftovers' kitchen freezer.
I've really just got veg left in the fridge plus milk and butter so I'm going to start on the kitchen freezer which is quite small just 3 drawers. I usually just keep opened packets, and leftovers in it. It should keep us going for a couple of weeks at least.

love to join you all in here

today I did an inventory of the outside freezer
    tomorrow will do inside one

I have enough food in the large freezer to make about three weeks main meals and a few saucepans worth of soup

inside is mostly veggies and fruit

I really do need to eat it all as moving very soon and will be down to one small fridge freezer

I also need to do inventories of ambient foods including my baking goods as for the fridge its not got much in it as we are going shopping tomorrow - dont think it will have much more in it then will send hubby as he does only buy what is on the list
    Emergency fund £10,000
    Several categories with savings in
    Cars, house maintenance, birthdays
Etc I have about 10 categories

Really happy to be debt free after being a compulsive spender

IN 2 duck breast, 2 packs pork ribs,
    OUT nothing
Hanging my head in shame, I have a huge back of y.s.peppers to squeeze in once prepped, ditto parsnips, may dehydrate [have to] the huge pile of lemons.
Do I need it or just want it.

I know, it’s silly to be so pleased but it’s like having a clean slate to work with and in line with my 2019 goals the freezer will not be a dumping ground – I’m going to be much more mindful of what and when I buy.

    In – Potato & leek soup x 2
    Out - Nothing

Made roasted tomato and red pepper soup fro lunch from frozen home grown veg. It felt really good to have all the ingredients, either on the veg plot or in the freezer. So out of the freezer came tomatoes, garlic, chilli, red peppers - carrots off the plot.

Dinner for DH was turkey thigh, potatoes, peas, sweetcorn - all home grown including the turkey and for my daughter and myself, pizza -ham, cheese, toms, herbs. It felt good to have everything in.
