In: 23 chicken breasts!!! Got 5kg for £18 from fish market what a deal. They are huge so will do lots of dinners in our house. Also got some lean mince in Morrisons half price (£2.49 for 675g).

Hi all. Not been on this week and look at all the tasty things that have come out of your freezers - well done everyone :) so we have moved into our house and takeaways have been our friend over the last few days which is very bad I know. Although I have managed to take home grown bacon and sausage for a cooked breakfast so at least that's a little more room.

OH does make pesto in summer to use there and then, a foodie Italian lawyer shared his recipe and OH uses pestle and mortar. We probably don't have enough basil to make enough to bottle tho.

Instead of basil, or if you want to try something a bit different, you could use spinach, brocolli, or a mix of parsley & coriander.

Jelly Biactol thanks for the suggestions, not tried those but OH did experiment with watercress which turned out fine.

OJ will be taking the last Riverford homity pies and leek and ham tarts from the freezer to his mother over the weekend along with Higgidy quiches so the grandchildren can eat them.

We're sorting out the freezer, giving it a tidy up later today before Ocado arrives with food to fill the space :)

Kirri I bought some. Cashew butter in Mr s, I'm a fan, but the bad thing is, I bought a organic baguette from Mr w, it broke on the way home and fell in the road, so I had some with cashew butter

I'd be gutted to drop the bread!

Here's a pic of the nut butter from the WH machine - just press the on switch (each variety has its own machine) and it comes out the machine and you catch it in the pot, then bang the pot down a few times to get it in before adding another layer. The consistency changes after a little while as it looks a bit drier when it first comes out.

I also love the muesli bar and the salad bar..

Spent £30 in WF and £40 on Ocado in 1 day  Think it was all vegan apart from some YV yoghurt pots. Only one thing went in the freezer, some Goodlife nut cutlets.

I was reading that oat brings it down by 10% if eaten daily, I hate porridge, need to find an alternative receipe, was thinking flapjacks but so fattening lol, was thinking of adding to my daily soothie, but it may make it really thick.

If you do the oat scones or find any other good oat recipes please post, I also can't get on with porridge! I may start adding some oats to bread.

Think walnuts are good too I read.
Kirri I have seen the Clapham branch, but never been in, it's the size of that health shop in balham.

Oh that is a lot smaller then, the Richmond branch must be 4-5 times the size of that Balham shop on each floor.
