3/8/17 - Totals for August are now:-

Food ingredients used up = 12
    Recipes used up = 25

So the figures are adding up quite fast. Three days so far of no food purchases and no batch-cooking has helped.

Yesterday bits of "old" recipe creations made and a couple of ingredients were finished. Made some over the date bread (oven) dehydrated. My online (food) grocery delivery should be next week.

Food ingredients used up = 14
    Recipes used up = 32

No (food) spend days are 4/4.

  • I like to keep a running stock of fruit, veg, lentils and salad, hence the shop-up. My daughter bought the burgers etc as they were new in the shop and she thought I would like to try them.
    IN
Brown & Red lentils, 1kg minced garlic, 2 pks Linda Mc Saus, 1 pack Farmfoods vegan burgers, Plums, 4kg Onions, Tomatoes, 15 avocado, Mushrooms, long sweet peppers
    OUT
Veggie burgers & rolls, a few portions of soup, onions, sweet peppers, sweet potatoes, carrots, lentils, beans & kidney beans, spinach, 4 avocados, 2 tins mushy peas(!!).

I have made a huge bean & sweet potato curry, so loads will be frozen.

I need to do this. I have a serious food horder problem. I just can't resist ys items and bargains even if I have enough food to feed an army.

I am a general horder - have enough body cream/ shower gels/ body butter to sink a ship and have a cluttered house. don't buy much but never throw anything away 'in case it may come in handy later on'

I don't really spend much on food - £50 - £60 a week for a family of 4 and two cats but still end up with cupboards, fridge and freezers rammed

DD2 has left with a rucksack full on freezer fodder! Nearly got rid of most of stuff in there.

DD1 coming tomorrow - she'll end up with just as much. Outside freezer will then be nearly empty. We'll then have offloaded as much as we can before our holiday so can switch off.

Inside freezer will have enough in it to last us a few days when we get back.
