Mr F found a pack of 8 sausages in the chest freezer last night. So taking them out would be a tiny space. I could make a sausage casserole + allsorts pie with them. That would be 6 tubs of meals going in to the freezer! So do I do emptying or frugal? I know what my instinct is.

Flo - what do you use to thicken the sauce/gravy in your casserole??

Still not added to the freezer. Didn't shop at the weekend either. Made a vege casserole with veg from the bottom of the fridge. Onion, leek, carrot, swede, parsley, paprika , passatta, red lentil and puy lentils. Added in some dumplings. It was OK.

^ sounds a bit like some of my efforts, spend a while making something then it just turns out just 'ok'..
Kirri did you get the mag yet? I keep forgetting to pick one up.

I keep forgetting to get it - I did flick through my mum's copy when I was over there the other week though but there were some recipes I wanted so will try and get a copy this week.

Like the sound of your muffins too!

Well done on the freezer emptying :T I really hate freezer food after this challenge! Never used to think much about it before I forced myself to eat it! I had a portion of the frozen veg tagine last night, didn't really like it but didn't want to waste it though ended up picking the turnips out of it, finished off the last of the couscous with it, didn't go a bundle on that either. 1 more portion of tagine left... Trying to just cook 1 portion meals now so if I ruin something I don't have x amount of portions to put in the freezer. I have got 3 portions of the veg pies in the freezer from what I made last week but nothing else is going in. Will eat these pies this week probably, either with salad or frozen peas/sweetcorn or the last of the salad potatoes.

Am finding myself really bored by food lately - what with the acidic /spicy etc food restrictions, I am struggling to find anything very interesting to eat and have run out of ideas for evening meals. I am getting a craving for cheese especially stilton, although supposedly shouldn't eat that either at the moment. Did buy a piece of haloumi though this week as so fed up with my meals, might do a pizza with that, the frozen basil pesto and some garlic mushrooms.

I failed on the choc giving up too, G&B was on offer, I got two intending to put them at the bottom of the fridge till the end of the month but after a tiring, stressful week, I ate them :o

I'd try the lemon water if I didn't have whatever it is inside that gets irritated by acidic foods.

I'd probably go for a sausage sandwich! Fried onions and crusty white bread and butter..

    Afternoon all.

Smoothie for breakfast, lunch was the last cheese muffin from the fridge and a drumstick.

Dinner is in the sc, beans with onions and seasoning, I'll be having burritos, I bought the smaller wraps by mistake, so I'll just use them, also finished the beans from cupboard, will buy more as I love burritos now.

Best dinner I've had in ages, the only dinner I've actually enjoyed lately!! Made a pizza base in the breadmaker, added HG basil pesto from the freezer, dried HG thyme/garlic and rocket, mushrooms, green pepper and haloumi from the veg box delivery.

The dough for supposedly 1 pizza made enough for 2 large pizzas so I'll have this again tomorrow. So good I will probably buy more toppings to do this again next week.

    No freezer movements.

    Kirri, that pizza looks lovely.

Still adding more than I am taking out due to my love of baking / cooking and also trying to have zero food waste. So for example I had a couple of pears and an apple in the fruit bowl which had seen better days so I made a couple of portions of crumble with them.

    IN:-

2 x portions apple and pear crumble
    2 x portions mushroom stroganoff
    half a weetabix cake
    2 x portions crumble topping

    OUT:

    1 x portion lentil ragu
