AP, any news from your credit card company?
I sent mpotw 2 recorded deliveries couple of days ago - one to their address and the other one to mobile connections with copies of my id and a copy of their terms stating that they will refund £1 in 7 working days which thay havnt as yet. I gave them a further 7 days to refund £1.
as expected, no replies or any credit yet.
another thread on mse suggests that they are not answering their phones and that their website is not working (2nd part is true, just tried it now). i am suspcious now...0 -
Maybe people should check out the thread developing on the same company under it's old name...

They had a different cashback (monthly) structure, but my experience with this company is exactly the same - and I'm not even a customer yet! As far as I can tell they avoid written queries and especially answers, make promises they don't keep, customer services is almost non-existent AND when you've ordered the phone they don't EVEN bother letting you know if you got it or not. One other thing I've picked up - seems they sign you up to the insurance even when you unticked the box. Worried yet??
ps... I found another thread about the original company last night on a different feedback site. Apart from one or two good reports, ALL the others were awful. Also it seems from another article that they (along with two other disreputable outfits in Birmingham) were reprimanded by local trading standards; their response was to emphasise their customer service.... now that IS funny...!!0 -

I posted the Disputed Transaction Form, a copy of the Sales T&C with the relevant paragraph highlighted and a covering letter (see earlier post) to them on Friday 20/07/07. They said that once they have received all the information, they will review it and contact me within 21 days by letter or by telephone.0 -
Hi guys, first post here! I've just seen this forum and a great topic here with lots of help thanks guys!
I'm thinking about signing up to a deal. I gave them a quick call to make sure they were a legit company (before I knew anything about them, or seeing this site). A Sonyericsson k810i on 12 month free contract on vodafone anytime 500 mins and 250 texts (£420 cashback). I t looks like a great deal.
I've read the T's and C's, I realise the are complicated to try and catch people out but it seems to be pretty reasonable. As long as I can get my proofs of ID to them and to the right address on time that would be a good thing.
Then claiming at month 5 - I am guessing this is the 5th bill, thats the only way it can make sense really (I was confused before, so this could catch some people out).
So at bill / month 5 I just need to send bill 1 bill 5 plus my claim number (is this right?!) - do I write the claim number on a seperate piece of paper, or send the copied T+C's form with it on do any of you know?
Then hopefully they'll be good and send me the cashback within 28 days or whatever. Then hopefully it will be plain sailing if that works, it should be easier for the following months as long as they go to the correct address and dont go bankrupt! I'm going to call them again tomorrow with some questions, and take a look around some phones shops to check that I really want the phone, and to check if there are any safer deals.

I would be VERY cautious about this place. I've been engaged with them for about a month now in various ways and been watching VERY closely and reading all the comments - not just here but on other feedback sites (and here) relating to their other "name". I have been extremely tempted BUT now think they are thoroughly dishonest. Most are, unfortunately; but IF I DO go with this company at some stage I would expect to have to go to court to get my money.0

Yeah, they're other company mobilephoneconnections (is it their other company) doesnt look too good, I havent heard good things about them recently, apparently they were okay until a few months ago. I havent really found a lot about mobilephonesontheweb yet either, i'd expect to see them on more websites and on some review sites but I cant find any good reliable info. (e.g. pricerunner and kelkoo review retailers, and online sites but I cant find them there) I'm still feeling optimistic, surely it isnt legal for them not to pay up if you follow the terms carefully and keep records.0

Boy! There's none so blind... I suspect this is one place where if it SEEMS too good to be true... I have been on the absolute verge of ordering two contracts from them. The more I find out about them, the better I feel about NOT having anything with them. See pm.0

Same here. I'm usually willing to take a gamble, but took the £100 extra hit and went with CPW....
I've done mobileshop, link, onestopphoneshop & other cashbacks before, but they've all had a "history"....What goes around - comes around
give lots and you will always recieve lots0 -
Thanks I'll go check. Yes this company does seem too good to be true. I'm tempted to find worse details that are more believable on other sites instead.0

Now THAT would be a wise first step if ever there was one!!0
