Credit check failed (just as well, I guess), so cancelled order with MPOTW yesterday. So why have they proceeded to take £1 out of my account today, AFTER I cancelled?!?
Surely there's no need to 'verify' my account if I'm no longer a customer...?!?0 -
Think of it as a very lucky escape and be wiser in your choice of dealer next time! £1 may be a bargain for what you missed. I wouldn't be at all surprised a few who weren't so lucky would swop places with you in an instant in 6 months' time...0

Contact your credit card company to dispute the transaction, under the reason 'payment for service not provided' as your order has been cancelled.0 -
I have been trying to get in touch with them in order to find out which address to use when sending Cash Back Claim. Rang there Customer Service Number (0871 2265 385) no answer recorded message ask for mail box number? So no luck there. Then try to call on the sales order line (0800 877 8796) and select option2 to discuss account then automated system keep you on hold for 10 mins (music playing) after that line go completely dead (no music tone)???
Its looking very very suspicious now... I'm already starting to think that they have done the runner!
Felt like i have been mugged  Stay well away from these people!0 -
Try 0800 7818695 but make sure you have at least half an hour to spare and a speakerphone!0

I have just had a customer come into my shop, wanting to buy 2 new lines for his kids on TMobile Flext 25. He had taken up a cold call from Mobile Phones on the Web, a month ago on Vodafone on a £35 a month tariff with a Sam U600 with 12 Months Free line rental on a 12 Month contract.
He received the phones and the kids have been using them, and then a couple of days ago, he was called by Mobilephonesontheweb, to say that they are having to delay all cashback claims for 6 months, so he can make his first claim of 4 at 12 months.
If he doesnt accept this he can return the 2 phones to them and they will cancel.
I cannot believe that he actually believed what they were saying. I told him that i didnt want him taking 2 new contracts with me, and then being lumbured with 2 lines on Voda as well, as that is what i believe will happen, as Voda do not cancel contracts after a month from connection. If he sends the phones and sims back, he will end up being charged for the lines, and have nothing.
Alos, their website seems to be "updating" at the moment, which i do not believe. Don't touch them with a bargepole.0 -
Hello, I signed up for one of there 12months deal on 13th August I believe, everything went through (signed up over the phone).
Now, here I am without a mobile phone, so I phoned them up a little while ago and they said that the phone would be instock Tuesday 28th, I was out Tuesday so I didn't bother phoning to check. Tuesday night there site says they are updating it, still says that today. Now I tried phoning them up Wendesday Thursday and today. Before I could speak to them in about 5-10mins, I have left the phone on for hours now and theres just music.
And reading an earlier post i notice they said all cashbacks have been delayed? I recon this company has gone bust. They would have charged the £1, but I'm gaving its t-mobile that take the direct debit, and as I haven't recieved the phone or contract/sim I won't be charged for that?
So its from this tuesday to today theres site is still "updating" and no-one is answering the phone.
If someone could please advise whether or not the contract would be charged this month that would be great.0 -
I ordered a new phone on Monday 27/8 over the phone and given an order confirmation number etc however, have still not received a phone. I decided to contact Vodafone who the contract is through and MPOTW have registered me and set up a direct debit. I informed them of what was going on so they have barred the number in case it gets in the wrong hands, however, can not cancel the contract until MPOTW have instructed them to do so. I have made numerous attempts to contact them and spoke to the consumer difect helpline this morning who have basically said they have broken the contratc as they have not delivered the phone and therefore write to the recorded delivery asking them to cancel the contract with vodafone which I have done today.
This has been one big knightmare, and I would definately recommend you speak to T-Mobile as they may have an account set up in your name.
If any one has any more information or further advice then your responce would be appreciated.

I have now emailed t-mobile and will let you know there update.
If anyone has anything else they can recommend please let us know.0 -
I have checked the bank, and this was ordered about 2 weeks ago, they haven't done the direct debit, so that seems good, however I am still waiting a reply from t-mobile.
UPDATE: This has appeared on BBC News, there is a letter however its really for clients that have there phone, not people without.
