Online Fixed Price Energy March 2015

Thinking of switching from online January 2014 fixed to the new fixed March 31st 2015 offer. The price changes for me in the East are quite interesting. Gas goes up 3.2%, normal rate electric goes up 4.1%, but E7 goes down! 1.2%.
The biggest change is in the fixed costs. If comparing the old first tier of the 2 rate consumption method with the new SC method, the first 900 units of standard electric + SC now come out 17% more than the old charge, up from £200 to £234.5. For gas, first 2680 units inc SC are up from £200 to £216, 8% more. Additionally the discounts of DD payments and dual fuel have dropped from over £32 previously to £21.
So, not such a good deal for a low user perhaps?0 -
I have spoken with Scottish Power. The current Online Fixed Price Energy March 2015 plan on sale now replaced the cheaper version (same name) that was withdrawn at the weekend.0

I had switched to the Online Fixed Price Energy March 2015 (v2) last week (ending Feb 28 2015). Am I correct in my understanding that the Online Fixed Price Energy March 2015 (ending Mar 31 2015) is now the better option - therefore I need to change again?
Due to eye problems it is a little difficult for me to read too much of the information online - just need some input before I phone SP.0 -

For me the old Online Fixed Price Energy March 2015 (v2) (ending Feb 28 2015) is £150 cheaper than the newer version currently on sale. I believe that you have the cheaper plan that I missed.0 -

Sounds like a cunning plan Pincher.
Phone them up, ask to speak to Customer Retentions and try to extract a post-dated switch from them.
It's always "Don't call us, we'll call you."
Just going through the same thing with Sky.
Cancelled last month with a month's notice.
"Customer Relations" called about three days after. Just missed the call, then they called again a week later. Offer not good enough, so I'm hoping they will chicken out and call again with a better offer. Otherwise I'm waiting for a good deal from Virgin, going for a 1TB Tivo this time.0 -

All I can say is that when I phoned the Billing Department today at SP, they originally quoted me £2654 and then apologised saying that was for a tarriff that has been withdrawn. She then quoted me £2803 (similar to Uswitch) for the current Online Fixed Price Energy March 2015.0 -
The SP Online Fixed Price Energy March 2015 seems best deal for me according to MSE cheap energy club problem is the deal I am on doesn't end to end of November and has a charge of £30 per fuel to leave but confused.com says it taken 4 -6 weeks to switch so I assume I can switch real soon without paying the £60 charge0

Anybody tried to use the website to apply for the new fixed tariff? The March 2015 tariff does now appear as a choice, but the on-line application form doesn't know about economy 7 and doesn't ask for the night reading. I clicked on the 'continue' button thinking I might be given an extra E7 entry option and my application with the meter readings was immediately sent.
Scottish Power now have only half of my electric readings, which will confuse them.
So, even if you are standard rate electric and can use the form correctly, doublecheck your entries, because when you click that button they are in the system and away.0 -
Arranged for a call back. Got the call but spent a while waiting for a real person. Eventually one turned up and said I was through to the wrong section. Said they would transfer me. Cue listening to endless music. Then...
Cut off.
Phone the number (again) given in my email to discuss options. - cut off after phone menu.
Phoned again - engaged!
Go to website. 'Get a quote' not working.
Back trying to speak to a real person again. Phoned same number but different answer message.
Now holding..
If I hear The Power of Love one more time.... Personally I'm not feeling it.
Half an hour and counting... (different music tho)
Spoke too soon. Back to The Power....... :wall::wall::wall:
40 minutes and counting...
Getting to an hour now.....
Real person - wahay!
He listens patiently then says he needs to transfer me to another department as I pay by direct debit.
Waiting.....
I JUST WANT SOME QUOTE COMPARISONS !!!!!!!
Getting beyond a joke now.
Real person back on saying the direct debit department is quite busy and I will get a call back today or tomorrow.
Ever feel you are going round in circles?0
