The Online Fixed Price Energy March 2015 tariff is available to select on the Scottish Power website now.
    I've just switched over.
    Thanks for your input Pincher.

You're right, it is showing now. Only downside is having a cancellation fee if switching to another supplier, but don't see I would switch anyway.
Will probably go for this. Thanks to Pincher for spotting this (and letting me know about it in my other thread)

    You are very welcome.

Managed to get through by phone, 30 minute wait.
BT Anytime, so free 0845 call up to 60 minutes.

NO post dated switch allowed.:mad:

To be or not to be:

    1. Switch now, and lose two and a half month of January 2014 fix.

    2. Wait till about 14th December 2013, and pray that

    A. March 2015 fix is still available, or
    B. The next Online Fixed is similarly priced, even after the price rise.

March 2015 only just come out, so it should be around for a few weeks, unless it's oversubscribed.

    At least you got through!
Tried ringing earlier, was on hold for 80 mins (0800 number at least) and then got cut off.....

Tried the call back option. Earliest callback after 3:00pm is Saturday!

If I log into my account and select to switch there is a March 2015 listed, but no details so worried it might be the 28th Feb offer as you never know how they describe these things. Can't remember if the March 2015 was listed the other day.
So, I would rather speak to someone to make sure I get the right deal.

Don't like the sound of their customer service. What has happened to them. I remember getting through quite easily a year ago, and the callback was within 30 minutes or so i'm sure.

    Oh well, will keep trying.....

    .

First thing this morning, the description for the March 2015 tariff on the Scottish Power website was "Fixed Price Energy March 2015" (which was the one ending on 28th Feb 2015). However, later in the morning this changed to "Online Fixed Price Energy March 2015".
So I'm pretty certain this is the new tariff which ends on 31st March 2015.

Ive just initiated a switch to this tariff from their website - currently on Energy saver 21 which is a variable plan.
The comparison sites in my case rank it second behind first:utility - seems quite competitive for a fixed tariff.

As a SP customer I have just logged on to my account to get a quote for a new tariff.

It is now showing cheapest for me as the Online Fixed Price Energy March 2015. This is not the v2 deal that was showing over the weekend which was considerably dearer.

If you click on 'more info' it does show that it ends on 31st March 2015.
Only disadvantage is that it has a £50 (duel fuel) cancellation fee.
The December 2014 tariff has no cancellation fee and is only £9 a year more expensive but is of course a three month shorter contract.

I think I'm going to switch now before it disappears.

How are you going to switch? by logging into your account and selecting to change tariff and select the March 2015?
Just wondering how people know they are selecting the right deal.

Wish it was easier to get hold of them.

    In a word "Yes." :)

Just select the "Online Fixed Price Energy March 2015" tariff.
    Simples.

You can self-service and switch on-line quite easily.
You need to provide the meter readings.

I could have switched online this afternoon, but I didn't want to lose two and a half months worth of January 2014 fix.

It is a stonking deal though. Covers two winters exactly.
