I'm guessing the SP website is having trouble coping with demand. I applied on the SP website (via Topcashback) a few days ago to transfer from BG to the Fixed March 2015 deal. It didn't appear to go through online the first time and just locked up so I tried again later on and it worked. I've now got two SP confirmation emails together .. a few days later, its like buses.

Main reason for changing was the better deal and to get away from the non-existent BG customer service. However from reading posts on this forum SP doesn't seem much better. Oh well fingers crossed.

I'm really annoyed at the Government every time they suggest the solution to lower energy prices is simply to switch tariffs. That's true to some extent but after the first time its just a case of picking the least worse option as they're all expensive. Where is this going to end .....?

    Great forum BTW.

Well I switched from the old OFPE Nov 13 to the new OFPE on Monday 21st by telephone as it wasn't showing on the drop down menu. I was told that was all I needed to do... However, it is not showing on my account yet so I'm getting worried. I've just mailed them to check it has gone through. If not, I've got a very long phone call showing on my landline to prove that I called.

Well, updating, my account now shows it is defaulting to 'standard' rate, although when I try to switch online to the agreed Online Fixed Price Energy March 2015 it says my account is being updated, so maybe it will happen okay by the end of the month. Fingers crossed....

Update: this was eventually sorted and changed, though still no regular email to confirm. They did reply to my enquiry via the site though after about 5 days.
