I shouldn't be posting on here yet (lurking though to join next month) but I am on babyandbump.
It is good in some aspects but I can't bear to go on the two week wait area and the trying to concieve area as its full of people getting pregnant right away or asking stupid questions/posting way too much information pictures!
I do have a journal on there though, its full of woe this cycle, got a family issue stressing me out which is making TTC so much harder right now.....

I also post on BnB for IVF cycles. I quite like that they have monthly IVF groups so you can find lots of people obsessing in the same boat at the same time.
I'm always a bit amused by thread titles 'Anyone want to share the 2WW with me, starting today?' without putting a date on it. How can that work?!
Vesper - those categories aren't threads - they are BOARDS. So thousands of threads in each category. It can be a little overwhelming. It's a much more international forum though, so you do get interesting insights from how it approached across the world.0 -
I've looked on BnB a few times but the whole thing freaked me out lol. Just too much going on!
Really sorry to hear about your friend T2D, take it there's no chance it could show up later? When do you think EC is likely to be? Hopefully it fits in ok with work. I found one of the hardest aspects was how last-minute all the dates were, iyswim. It's not like you can say x day will be EC, then y day will be ET and get them booked in a few weeks in advance. I'm not good with last minute changes of plans, I need to know what's happening at all times lol.0 -
The trouble with calling the clinic is getting some privacy to do it. I work in an open plan office which is so quiet you can hear conversations at the other end of the room. There are never any available meeting rooms and there is nowhere you can go for a private conversation and as I want to ask if they've received DH's SA, its going to be difficult to do without drawing attention. I also have the usual IT dislike of making phone calls - I'd much rather email but they have no address.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0

Totally. It's slightly better now I've moved offices as there's far less people but the downside is the woman I now work with is the nosiest cowbag ever! I also (for long, complicated reasons) use a different name for anything medical and I always think it sounds weird using it when people who don't know me by that name can hear me.0 -

Is there ever really a chance this late? I haven't heard from her since Saturday (which was OTD) so I'm guessing nothing has changed. Gosh it's so hard, so unfair, and there's nothing really you can say to help.
Re EC - I guess next Monday or Tuesday. They say normally 11-12 days of stims, but does that include the 36 hours after Ovitrelle shot? I started last Wednesday, if the EC could be Wednesday that would be great as that's already my work from home/medical appointments day (agreed after I had so many follow up things once I ended my long term sick leave). I have much more flexibility on that day.
What are the factors for when ET takes place? It seems to be anything from 2 to 5 days after EC.0 -

Some of it is clinic preference, some of it will be based on how the embryos are doing. Our clinic only does blast transfer, unless they don't think the embryo will make it that far outside. Quite a few other places seem to go for 2-3 days transfer as standard.
Seems like every other part of this process - no flaming consistency!
Will you be off work between EC and ET?0 -
T2d awful for your friend, really sorry to hear it was a bfn.0

No - should I? I was more thinking after ET. My EC will be a general so I need to take the day off, but I'm an old hand at generals these days so can work the next day.
I'm guessing that a binge night out taking the last chance to drink for (hopefully) a long time is out of the question?0 -
Hi everyone,
Final scan today...one at 18mm, one at 16.5mm, one at 10.5mm and a sad little one at 8mm. They've given me one more night of stimming, and then I need to trigger tomorrow night. Lining looks good ay 8.9mm.
I'm feeling quite down... I know it only takes one, but the nurse said they would only be hoping for two eggs...that doesn't give me much of a chance of fertilisation, does it?
Feeling a little teary :-(0 -
Big hugs derby. It really is quality over quantity, though I fully appreciate that won't help right now! Have everything crossed for you xx.0
