Hello ladies

Hooray for lots of eggs rowingirl x
Congrats for making the top of the list sewit x
t2d I really hope you get your happy ending x
Hugs for feeling carp pm x
and now I must read back to see what I've missed
AFM we're not trying this month (and possibly next) at the request of DH as he is entering a very stressful period at work. I can't pretend I'm not upset about this but as we're in this together I'm giving him the time he needs. He has also had a bit if a delayed reaction from my MC in June (the same thing happened last time as well) which is also upsetting him. In the meantime we have a plan of action to both lose weight and get healthier for when we start trying again.
I'll still be hanging around like a bad smell but probably won't be posting too much, except that is to offer my congratulations when you all get your BFP
hugs to all x0 -
Wonder woman. How is your DR going? Are you doing short or long protocol? And same with you derby2? Might be helpful to note that on my lists.0

Purcy I hope the next couple of months go quick for you.0

Actually (from my wealth of experience gained from a single TV show) they select non-abnormal ones, but of the 'normal ones', they then go for the one that is easiest to catch! So it would naturally have lower mobility (or motility, whichever is the right word).
I saw it on the IVF show about the Hewitt centre, and I was a little surprised it was the slowest that got picked rather than the fastest.
Ha ha. I didn't know that. They wouldn't have had a problem with the OH then. All of his were 'lazy' apparently."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -

Was just thinking that! OH's would all be very easy to catch, it's getting them to move that's the problem.0 -
Gonal F - I was on this, it is basically a synthetic version of Menopur (as far as I can tell). I think they use it with lower AMH (like me) as its possibly more potent and they like to bring out the big guns! I found it a doddle to use, its a pen system so no mixing or anything.
Have the pens sat in my fridge so nice to hear that they are easy to useThey said at last scan though I have polycycstic ovaries (not the syndrome just lots of follies I think) so higher risk of OHSS and will start on a lower dose of the stimming drugs. Does that sound right? Not sure I want them bringing out the big guns if there is an increased chance of OHSS! Eeek!
Today went really well. I have 5 eggs (from 5 follies) and will hear tomorrow afternoon if we have embryos. Now lying on the sofa with DH looking after me.
Great news Rowingirl, I hope all of them turn into sticky little embryos!Wonder woman. How is your DR going? Are you doing short or long protocol? And same with you derby2? Might be helpful to note that on my lists.
DR going ok thank you T2D, getting a few side effects now but nothing too major - mainly headaches and hot flushes. We're doing long protocol, good idea to add to summary. Please could I be updated to:
TTC#1 for over a year. Me: 27, no known problems, DH: 34, problem with vas deferens. On 1st NHS IVF cycle (long protocol). Next step: Down reg scan booked for 12 Nov 13. Hoping for EC in w/c 25 Nov 13.
Are you feeling ok on the injections? That's really naughty re your letters. Ours always come in a brown envelope - no window with a big private and confidential sticker on, probably look more suspect than they are!
:hello:Babywanted, as everyone said - hope your stay here is brief! What is your next step? Sorry if you've already said, so many posts its hard to find them again sometimes.
ETA: SewIt - we weren't sure if we were ready either but its taken around 4 months from 1st appointment with FS to get to this point. Could you start the ball rolling and then see how you feel? Saves so much waiting if you do decide to go ahead and can stop at any time if decide against?0 -

Ww I have v bad pcos and have been told the same re ohss. It took 6.5 weeks to get to a dose to get me to ov although I'm not having IVF.0

Thank you ladies for your support.
Sorry to hear you feel like carp PM. I hope your current cycle is much shorter & easier.
WW - that sounds correct. I have polycystic ovaries but not the syndrome. My clinic kept me on 100iU of Menopur (second loses dose) because they were worried about OHSS. Sounds like it's the same with Gonal-F.The biscuit will only dare to be just a biscuit when it is with its true friend the potato. (Edward Monkton) :beer:0
