Just had a call from the ACS unit at our local hospital, we're at the top of the NHS list!

So basically, we just contact them on CD1 of next cycle, or whenever we want to start treatment.

After all my worrying on Friday about whether I should find out about if the list has gone down. :rotfl:

Wow, not sure if I'm ready to jump on the band wagon again, but also don't see the point in waiting.

As I'm on CD4 we have time to think about what to do.

    Any advice?
    xx

Sew-it: How exciting and all change since Friday! Do you think you're just having a mini-panic because it's now all happened relatively quickly? I presume CD 1 will fall in December which may mean you'd struggle before Christmas anyway with the shut down?

How about starting the next cycle after Christmas, then you can relax (!) and enjoy yourself and then start a new year, new plan?

Sewit - I found I was/am apprehensive about starting IVF. This is my first proper cycle, and it's scary as you suddenly realize that it may happen... I think I am nervous as if it doesn't work I am scared there isn't another option.

My brain knows thats not true, but I think after years of TTC you harden your heart, and with IVF you have to let yourself hope again, despite knowing that hoping has lead to heartache too many times.

As an aside - I got my letter from the ACU, and the way they print them you can clearly see in the address window that it is from the "Assisted Conception Un..". And the envelope says chelsea and westminster hospital on it. I've had three letters all with the same layout, so it's not a one-off problem.

Good thing everyone knows what I am up to anyway! You'd think they would have some discretion with these things.

hi babywanted and welcome to the forum. Sorry you are here and that you have had a rough ride of things. What tests have you had done and what are the next steps for you, if you know?

MrsDavo - big hugs, that sucks. So its lose weight and then wait and see? If your BMI is 29, do they really think that is what's causing things, as 29 is not that high. Cutting out carbs seems extreme. I'm going to see a nutritionist today about eating well for fertility so I'll ask about carbs and will come back to you.

frozenpenguin - hope your appointment come around fast.

    xx

Hi, we have had sperm tests - all good
Also had blood tests, HSG and internal and external ultrasound tests - all good

Doctors offered no further tests to us

Hi gelly123 & babywanted, hope your stays here are short.
Congrats sewit that's fantastic news. Does your clinic do short protocol?

Today went really well. I have 5 eggs (from 5 follies) and will hear tomorrow afternoon if we have embryos. Now lying on the sofa with DH looking after me.
