Tea - that sucks - Facebook is the devil!
PM - I hope the injections work better this time, do you have to go to the hospital every week or every few days whilst on those?
Gelly123 - Welcome, hope your stay here is short :-)
Rowingirl - Good Luck tomorrow!
Littleme82 - :-( I'm sorry clomid isn't working for you either. I was niave and went into it think that it would be our miracle drug. Have they told you what will happen next if it doesn't work? Has it made you ovulate, just not get pregnant?
AFM: Hospital tomorrow at 10am. Must admit I am pretty anxious about what they will say / do. I am worried that they will say go away and come back when you've lost weight, although my BMI is 29? I know it could be better but this whole thing lends itself to comfort eating doesn't it!!
OH is coming more on board I think, he always used to say absolutely not to IVF, but he said the other night that if that's what they say then we will have to do it.....somehow. May take us a year or so to get the money together, but I just don't feel I can give up on this :-(0 -
Gelley I had some reflexology a few year ago, I found it really relaxing I hope it helps you.
Tea FB sucks big time for that.
Mrs Davo I hope all goes well tommorow. I have to go to the hosp twice a week and get bloods once a week. Its quite a treck aswell.0 -

What article is this? I'm interested because a) Freddie is a result of ICSI (odd shaped toes but seems otherwise unscathed) and b) I'm very sceptical and good at putting things into perspective. Give me a link and I'll rip it apart for you."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -

It was on the daily mail, an ivf specialist said that icsi affects the sperm count of boys who are born via this method0 -
I saw something similar on the fertility clinic's website - I think the concern is that you're using sperm that normally wouldn't get to be a person - the slow swimmers so to speak, so they're not sure if it will cause problems because of genetic weakness. They pretty much just said there wasn't enough research. I don't care. If they can get any sperm out of DH I'd be happy.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0

Hi just seen your replies. You found the article. I don't know why I read it.
Mrs Davo not sure if I'm OV or not as not being monitored. We have the problem that my DP only has 10% good swimmers so likelihood of falling naturally is slim to none. We're being recommended to have ICSI.0 -
Nothing really going on here, Hubby finally managed to get hold of the relevant department at the hospital and is finally booked in for a SA on the 18th.Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.0

Right ladies - I am back home and finally back in front of my laptop!
I'll try to catch up and update the lists properly, but would welcome anyone providing an update as to where they are. Any newbies if you want to do a little intro summary I'll add you to the front page.0 -
And code STEP AWAY FROM THE GOOGLE!!!!Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.0

I've heard boys born vis ICSI can carry the gene for cystic fibrosis gene which affects the development of the vas deferens (passed down from their fathers) so causing low/zero sperm counts. Other problems maybe due to twins/triplets (who have a higher proportion of prematurity & developmental delays) rather than the actual ICSI process. Stats I've seen elsewhere suggest the chance of problems are tiny. Like code said more research is needed. The biscuit will only dare to be just a biscuit when it is with its true friend the potato.
